Still, the vegan chicken fajita was fantastic. Beautiful paintings on the walls and the ceiling and lamps are very pretty (see photos.
Cons: It was very loud. This place is best suited to large groups.
Our waitress was awesome, very Kind and super helpful too.
This place is really beautiful. It’s one of my favorite structures in Ventura and the interior is also impressive, especially that ceiling. But the drinks. For one, the menu has all the prices whited-out, first red flag. The salsa that came with the chips was basically just onion and tomato water.
We ordered the strawberry mojitos, the picture looked appetizing, but they weren’t well made and looked nothing like the picture. It was basically a strawberry slurry with soda and had almost no kick to it. One of us said it might as well have been a Four Loko. The picture had these really nice tall glasses and they gave it to us in mason jar cups
It sucks because the beauty and history of the building gives the expectation of really good quality, and we overlooked other probably better options because if it. It’s one of the few latino places in this part of Main Street, too, so we were excited to try it; But it turned out to be a bit of a waste of use for such a beautiful place. Service was decent, at least.
We came to celebrate my dance partners birthday, the nice bartender helped me out with the cake. Other server was just ok.
Food: Nicely arranged and mostly delicious.
They have variety of different Menus on their website: Lunch / Dinner / Vegan / Bar menu. Much to choose: from meat, fish and even vegan (with loads of processed artificial meat substitutions)
Ambience: colonial feeling, dark brown wood, with beautiful lamps, high selling and comfortable booths. Dimmed lights and pub – Spanish rock music.
Service: for service actually just 3* but one girl (bartender) made it to 4*
(-) When we arrived one host boy outside wasn’t paying attention to us for several minutes. (-) One waiter didn’t had the drink my friend ordered and without asking brought another drink he didn’t like.
(+) Nevertheless it was a nice celebration and the stuff brought up the light up cake I brought and sang happy birthday
This makes the 5*
