Pizza here is pretty great. They have a decent salad bar. They have some classic video games inside. One of the only pizza places around that still have anchovies a major positive in my opinion. The quality of ingredients here is fairly high. There are a few flying pies around town.

My roommate and I went in looking for a quick bite to eat and left having found our new favorite pizza place in Oregon.

From the wafting smell of pepperoni when you first walk in to the retro arcade machines up front to the paper plate drawings lining the walls to the patient and accommodating staff, the restaurant itself had all the trappings of a classic family pizza joint!

Our lunch could only be described as “ideal 90’s kid birthday party” pizza. The crust was the perfect combination of crunchy and fluffy, with enough structural integrity to stand up to any number of toppings. It’s a good thing, too, because they do NOT skimp on the toppings here!

Any place that offers multiple kinds of pepperoni is going to stick out in my mind, especially cup pepperoni. Better still, as a casual enjoyer of seafood on pizza, it was a pleasant surprise to find that they offered anchovies AND smoked oysters as optional toppings!

Suffice it to say, we came back the very next day to try even more of what they had to offer! The only critique I can think of is that the food was so good it attracted the attention of a few passing fruit flies. Just goes to show the locals know the best places.

TLDR: you’re doing yourself an incredible injustice if you don’t try this pizza at least once in your life!

I love this place awesome crew ! Came here for lunch the other day and its great, clean, good friendly service, fair prices and the calzone’s are delicious so are the cheesy bread with marinara sauce, the place is large with plenty of sitting, once we ordered the wait time was about 10-15 minutes, the food was warm and they have a limited assortment of beer but I will be back again and I do recommend anyone who loves pizza give this place a try, its worth it and you wont be sorry.

So GOOD! I ordered a salad bar and Miss Piggy w/Pineapple. First off the salad bar is SUPER CLEAN and had everything to make a great salad. It’s hard to find pizzeria’s with salad bars anymore. Now on the the Pizza…. HEAVENLY!!! Stacked with meaty goodness and the perfect crust. As for the staff, everyone I spoke with was SUPER POLITE, creating an overall delightful experience. The entire establishment was clean and well maintained.

Wonderful, family-friendly atmosphere. Customer service top notch. Ordering process showed I couldn’t pick up the pizza until 11:45 and I mentioned I wished it could be 11:30 so I could get it back to work in time for the team lunch. When I got there, they had started the pizzas early for me and were ready at 11:30!

When you order, make sure to ask for additional Italian seasoning added to the pizza. Helps with the overall taste. Toppings were very good. My only complaint is the dough has no taste to it. It would be nice if it had a little character to match the toppings. Other than that, great place for families.

Quality ingredients, quality pizza. If your wife sends you to get pizza, be sure to leave early so you can get a beer from the tap while you wait. Looked like a nice place to dine in also.

I was unreasonably bummed when the LO branch of Flying Pie closed. I liked it quite a bit (see my review). But that forced me out of my comfort zone, given that the Gresham location (which I liked a touch less) was too far away. So, I headed to the Oak Grove location expecting a similar experience.

Paradoxically, it was both what I was looking forward to . . . and also positively not what I was expecting. The vibe is typical Portland area FP (as against the Boise area versions, both old-school and newer). It had more of a LO than Gresham vibe, with mid-range lighting, tacky stuff on the walls, and some older games (the Led Zeppelin pinball machine was a nice touch).

The pizza? What you’d expect (with the three we ordered leaning towards a crisper slice than I recall at either of the other locations I have visited). The soda/drink options? What you’d expect. The menu? Same as the others (with one BIG exception). This place has the old school salad bar!!! And, while they don’t have the day-old bread stick croutons, it is a nice throwback to one of the things that made me love FP pre-pandemic.

The servers are also great. Friendly, without being fake. Prompt, whereas the other locations could occasionally be a touch sluggish, 420-style.

Glad I was forced to venture out and find a new FP location. Appreciate what you do in Oak Grove. Plan to be back again soon. Solidly 4.5 stars!!!

And, psst, some of you negative reviewers: you really, really need to figure out how rankings work, how to write reviews, and/or revise your rankings based on what you actually wrote in your reviews. If you add nothing to the discussion, you are just writing to vent and should just buy a fidget-spinner instead!

Flying pie has been my go to place for many years. Stark street was so good. We’ve started going to the McLaughlin location and find that the pizza isn’t nearly as good.
I’m not sure if they are using cheaper ingredients or what the problem is, but I will try going back to Stark Street. Hope its just the location!

Okay it’s official, we have found our new FAVORITE PIZZA restaurant. Wow, what a great experience.

We met up with family for pizza and conversation. This place recommendation was my son’s choice and so happy he suggested it.

We ordered three pizzas. Each was excellent. One of those was a “Shake N Bake” pizza that was a unique combination but everyone loved it.

My favorite was the Hawai’i Pizza with added pepperoni and sausage. It was amazing.

Super friendly staff.

We will definitely be regulars.
