Initially, I considered visiting a different place, but I noticed the menu posted outside and decided to give it a try. The decor was typical of an Irish pub. Our server was friendly and provided honest recommendations, which was very helpful. The variety of beers was decent. Overall, this place seems like a great spot for drinks and watching sports. I highly recommend arriving hungry and ordering the Shepherd’s pie; it’s rich and delicious.

Great place. The fish and chips were particularly delicious. Small portion of Cole slaw but over all a great meal. And it was the special. Would definitely come back next time in town.

Food was very meh. Service was great, and the beer was good. I’ll go back; I just won’t order food again. My server was absolutely phenomenal, and the place was cute.

Great place to watch bowl football games, and they haveva wide array of food options. I think the kitchen is pretty quick, and good for large groups, great beers on tap.

Clean and spacious. Friendly, funny, attentive server. Great menu – it was really tough to decide what to order. The onion rings and French fries are really good, and the cod tacos are tasty. Unfortunately, the Irish Stew was so salty it was practically inedible (and I love salty food, so that’s saying something), but I’ve had that happen before with my own cooking, so I figure it’s an off batch. Otherwise, the meat was tender, and it was a decent-sized portion. I ended up taking it home to mix with unseasoned rice to balance the salt, and that worked great.

I will definitely give them another shot the next time I’m in the area.

Cozy local pub with a great selection of beer & whiskey.
Shepherd’s pie, whiskey & bread pudding were just what I needed on a cold & dreary day.
Dennis offered up great service. Attentive with an endearing dry humor.

It was steak night. It looks like a good deal. I had 2 pints of Magner’s which hit nicely. Some nice people who came over from the adjacent comedy club picked up a couple of green tea shots for me which was quite kind. I had the boneless buffalo chunks. They are not wings but nice sized bites. They were enjoyable. It would have been nice to have a couple more carrot sticks as I prefer them to celery. I will go back. I recommend.

Very typical pub with older (and less diverse) crowd. Good to watch sports.
Came here for cocktails (Espresso Martini and Old Fashioned) Service was fast. But the cocktail did not convince – flavor was off and the taste was more artificial than anything

I have been going to HOC regularly on Sundays to watch football for almost 5 years now. The food is always hot and delicious and the beer is always cold! The servers are amazing and work their tails off. I have come to know the owners and they are wonderful people! I highly recommend trying the fish and chips with a cold beer!
