Hundreds of beers are the draw at this store/pub also serving such American bites as bison burgers.

Have been here a few times and have really enjoyed my experience each time. The last time I came for brunch with some friends. They were a little crowded for the number of servers they had but it wasn’t terrible. I got the breakfast burrito and it was a lot of food and I was happy with it. The potato’s that came with it were pretty good as well. Prices were reasonable and they have a huge beer selection, both domestic and imports, so be sure to check those out as well

I was blown away by the quality of food here! We came here at the suggestion of a tour guide in town and I couldn’t be happier for it. The special of the day, Tomato Pie, was amazing! It’s a rarity you find it on a menu at all but then have the taste to back it up is a treat. I don’t drink beer so I can’t speak to it but with the amount of choices offered here, everyone should be able to find something that they love. I would happily go back and try many more dishes here.

We arrived on a Thursday afternoon in July around 12:30 PM. It was not very busy. There is inside and outside seating. We chose to sit inside at the bar. We were immediately greeted by a bartender, and she gave us menus. We talked about the beers on tap and tried a few before deciding on the Freestone Walker Union Jack IPA. I had the local burger (which is smashed now) and frites (potato wedges not fries as I found out later). My spouse had the Turkey Trot. The burger was cooked too long so the edges were very dry. The frites were very thick wedges so they were not crispy like fries. The Turkey Trot had good flavor but the bread was so thick it overwhelmed the sandwich. The service was very good as was the beer but we were not impressed with our food selections.

Stopped in for lunch and was immediately impressed by the menu. Great variety. Soup specials of the day were white bean chili and squash, ginger bisque. Both were amazing. Great depth of flavor. Enjoyed a turkey club and another special, turkey meatball sub. Both were ample in size and tasty. Finished it off with a brownie made with rye which was excellent. No beer but the selection was solid. Our server was attentive and helpful. Outdoor space was perfect for enjoying the weather. Price point was very good. Definitely a place I’d return to.

The nachos were awesome we got ours with the meat. My husband had the chicken pot pie which the filling was very flavorful but the crust left a little left to be desired so he didn’t the shell of it. And I had the shrimp and grits flavor also very delicious my only small complaint was that it was tail-on shrimp, mixed into this beautiful dish that you had to cut off and plop off to the side, I personally like to get everything out of the tail which then meant getting my fingers full of grits.

Beer run always knocks it out of the park. The beer selection is always well stocked with all the craft beer you could ever imagine. I’ve been for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and am always blown away by how good their food is and how interesting they keep their menu. I live the rotating menu and always have an opportunity to try something new each time I go. Def recommend their nachos and shrimp/grits. Show this place as much love as possible!

Personally, I want to give a warm and well deserved Thank You to all who work here! It was absolutely incredible overall, I had the Chinese sticky pork belly, and I was such a piggy who definitely wanted more. However, portion alone was quite decent. Will, our server is absolutely spot-on, which is rare to find from some places. Absolutely will come again even though I live over an hour away.

Let me tell you, the “What’s up Doc” salad was one of the most delicious dishes I have had in a long time. Hot honey. Roasted carrots. Chimichurra. It made me close my eyes and rock. I could have moaned. Laura Fonner has been the chef at Beer Run for 15 months.
This is a very casual restaurant who was lucky enough to snag her after a terrible experience she had with renting a space for her very first restaurant, Savor, which I loved. The owner of the bldg ( Coran Capshaw) jacked up her rent to an unbelievable level and drove her out. ( FYI: He owns restaurants in this city. Draw your own conclusion.) Having her as a chef at this sweet casual restaurant for 15 months so was lucky for us. She may have been camping out there to recover. Simply put, she rocked our world. She will be leaving on December 7th 2025 to return to high-end dining in Staunton. Between now and then, I will be there frequently. Maybe I’ll see you there. You will not have a better meal for a such a price again. I highly recommend her wherever she goes. After she leaves, I’ll be driving to Staunton.

By definition schnitzel is a “thin slice of meat, usually thinned by pounding with a meat tenderizer”
This meat was not thim nor had it been pounded
On the menu it should just offer breaded pork instead of insulting the Viennese by calling this dish schnitzel.
While I appreciate the effort to mitigate plastic waste in packaging some things need more effort and protection on take away orders. Chicken pot pie would be one of those items that needs extra care.
I was ten minutes later than the pickup time. My lodging was 3 minutes away and all the food including the fries were lukewarm, to include the potpie.
Food flavor and quality was very good but given I spent $100 on a tocgo order and had to warm my food before consumption I can’t rate as high as probably should be expected.
Comsidering everything, I would probably give them a try eating in but schnitzel should always be pounded to avoid fat / chewy gristle pieces.

Food was good. Most of the draft beer was expensive and prices varied for seemingly no particular reason. The take-out beer selection inside was good and the prices overall were reasonable. Cool spot but the parking situation is a bit clumsy.
