Listen, Denver TC is where fun goes to take a very long, very gray nap. But Griffin Tavern? It’s the ‘sweatpants’ of bars. It’s cozy, it’s homey, and it doesn’t judge you for being a business traveler eating wings alone at 9 PM. Perfect spot to watch the game and pretend your PowerPoint presentation doesn’t exist. Thanks for the beer and for not being depressing!”

The service at this place was absolutely terrible. The quality of the food was extremely mediocre, and the service from the waiters was very poor. We gave clear instructions for our order, yet what they brought us was completely different.
The staff behaved in a highly unprofessional manner—several waiters looked as if they were under the influence of something. They were even sitting with customers and acting erratically. The menu lists items that are supposedly available, but in reality, they don’t have them.
At the end, they tried to charge us by simply telling us the amount verbally, without providing a receipt or any proof of the total. I had to insist and demand a printed receipt to verify the charges.
Overall, I would never come back to this place. Completely unacceptable experience.

OMG amazing cute place you have to try! It has a great little happy hour menu. The wings were fantastic. I did the barbecue bourbon. Staff was incredibly helpful. I also had an old fashion that came out. Perfect. I don’t know how much I like my old fashions. The amazing manager also let me have a couple of the tequila bottles that I had been wanting to be able to make a oil dispenser out of so again best service fantastic people huge bar to sit at enough parking to fill this place twice over. You should not have one problem finding parking.

While I am leaving 5 stars, mainly because of Oscar’s impeccable service, I have been a witness multiple times to him being the ONLY person behind the bar (absolutely crushing it) and watching people walk out because it’s too busy for one person to handle.
Today was unlike any other. He had an 11 top that made reservations and it appeared he was made unaware of this. Shortly after this group walked in, 3 or 4 other large groups walked in (and proceeded to quickly walk out) all during happy hour which is 3pm to 6pm.
I love this place and will continue to come and support, however management needs to do a better job at keeping this place staffed when they KNOW it’s going to be busy (during happy hour or when large parties make reservations).
We love you, Oscar and we know you’re only human, keep on keepin’ on brotha.

It was quite evident that the establishment was understaffed. The sole positive aspect of the service we received was being seated promptly. However, there were significant delays in fulfilling our orders, including beverages and food. The quality of the food was merely satisfactory. Our bill amounted to $180.00, which included two drinks each and food. It is possible that the Nuggets game contributed to the establishment’s challenges in providing efficient service.
I observed a male bartender engaging in personal interactions with female customers, including sharing drinks with them. This occurred while I was waiting for my beer, and my companions were growing impatient. Additionally, our water glasses remained empty, necessitating our efforts to attract the attention of the service staff.

This was my second time at Griffin Tavern. The atmosphere is great. We ordered a few appetizers to share which were all delicious. I recommend the sliders. I enjoyed my drink. The service was slow, but the waitress was kind. I would go back.

Walking distance from our hotel so we stopped in for a beer and a burger. Tap handles were limited, but we both found a likeable beer. Food was average pub fair and prices were reasonable.

This is a very good bar/tavern. The drinks were very good and moderately priced. I decided to get a small snack and I was very impressed. I ordered the side of greens (their version of a side salad) and some green chili, both dishes were incredible. The salad was much larger than a typical side salad and had a good balance of greens and crunch elements. The green chili was amazing, be warned it packs a lot of heat. If you add sour cream and cheese to the green chili, it cools the chili, as well as provides great balance. My server was very attentive and courteous, which added to my great experience.

Stopped by for a Saturday happy hour and took advantage of some solid deals.
We ordered the bourbon BBQ wings, rib bites, and pulled pork totchos. Nothing was super special – the totchos were prob the highlight and was a big serving for the price. Overall the food was a good value.
They had a decent enough draft selection, so we got a couple of beers.

This is a classic dive bar spot in the DTC area. If you are looking for a spot that hits the spot and doesn’t break the bank check it out if your nearby.
Burgers range from $13-17 depending on sides and add ons.
Reasonable happy hour as well if you prefer to do a sampler of their sides and wings.
