Server was new. She took a while to wash dishes before taking my order. Then got held up by her other table and left my waffle sitting.
She has a good attitude and I think she will do well.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thanksgiving Visit Success!
We decided to go to Waffle House in Monteagle on Thanksgiving Day since our family dinner wasn’t happening until Saturday — and I’m so glad we did! The food was delicious, fresh, and exactly what we needed. Our server was new and a little nervous, but she was absolutely wonderful. She made sure we had everything we needed and never let our drinks go empty. The chef also did a fantastic job preparing our meals perfectly.
This was our first time visiting this location since the remodel, and wow — it looks fabulous! So clean, shiny, and welcoming. Many other restaurants could take a few notes from the Waffle House handbook.
We left with full bellies, happy hearts, and didn’t feel robbed on price. Excellent experience all around. We’ll definitely be back!

“How can a waffle house be 5 stars?” Well, consider this a 5-star Waffle House location.
This was my first experience at a Waffle House … headed here after a show let out at the Caverns in Pelham. I’ve never been before, and wasn’t sure what to expect.
At midnight, and with a completely full restaurant, this staff of 3 made everything run smooth. The cook was absolutely on fire and it was impressive watching him just do his thing. Servers were friendly and prompt with service.
Admittedly, didn’t have waffles, but had the grits bowl and a sandwich with sausage egg and cheese. Grits bowl was where it was at and it was affordable.
Overall, great experience and I’ll gladly go back to a Waffle house next time I’m in the south!

Absolutely loves this place and the food! The biscuit was fluffy and soft, gravy was perfect!! Seasoned great, and I didn’t have to add any salt or pepper, hashbrowns were crispy like we asked for, the waffle was crisp outside, soft inside and cut with a fork. The eggs were over medium as asked for, and bacon was crisp yet tender. Food came out quick, hot, and delicious!! Our waitress was the sweetest, an older lady who was there and working hard. There was a younger man cooking, and he did fabulous. There were 3 other staff people all helpful and kind. We left a tip for each person it was that great!! Stop in, you won’t be disappointed!!

Waffle House is a staple of the Southern United States and the beginning (or end) of many a journey. Those who have lived their lives solely to the north of the Mason-Dixie line can never truly understand the unique draw of the house of waffles. It isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience. It is a feeling, deep in your belly, like a song you know but haven’t heard in a very long time. Listen well, with your hearts, tongues, and bellies, and you might find something you never knew was there.

First time at a waffle house, service was great, coffee was great! Hash browns and grits were great, eggs were cooked perfectly, the only item which was not good at all was the waffle! Not sure if this is representative of most waffle houses out there, but our experience at this one was great!

Eileen was our server and she was amazing. We never had cold coffee because she was always there to service up a fresh topper and they use their blueberry nuggets inside their mix so every bite had a blueberry piece I was in heaven thank you so much Mont go for treating Louisiana girl to a good breakfast.

Wonderful folks at this WH. Stopped in to get some breakfast after a great night of Trombone Shorty and Orleans Ave at The Caverns. Warmly welcomed by most of the staff when my wife and I arrived. One of the patrons saw me praying over our meal then saw my retired Army cap I always sport. He finished his meal, went to the register and paid for his and our meal. God is good!
Would have given 5 stars for the food but found a hair on the edge of my bowl when I was almost done eating, most likely from the cook who seemed to be the only employee who didn’t care one way or the other whether or not the patrons were happy and satisfied. Nothing in particular except that she was rather terse with her associates and didn’t interact with anyone in the establishment. Other than that, a good experience.

Tim was the best waiter, he has good taste in movies! Michael cooked our food to perfection and had a funny story about a walrus onesie that is well loved. I forget the waitress name but she literally made her food and gave me a bite so we could try the new cinnamon waffle. What a doll. I come to this spot every year after rave cave. Solid food, solid staff. Will be back.

I don’t want to be disparaging the day after Christmas, but this was terrible. Several groups came in after our family and were both seated and served before us. My father and I walked out. I hope the girls enjoyed it.
