Reviews
The food is consistently good every single time. My favorites are the tuna nachos, the octopus, and the wings, but honestly, everything I’ve ordered has been delicious. The service is always friendly and welcoming too.
It’s a fun, stylish place with great energy, and I always recommend it.
We were seated inside right away (no wait), at a nice table from which we could glimpse parts of the sea and catch some of the ambient beach vibe. The service was friendly, fast, and professional — our server was attentive and made good suggestions.
We tried a variety of dishes: burger, fried seafood, and a New York strip steak. The burger and seafood were very good — well-cooked, fresh, and flavorful. The steak, though, came slightly stringy, which took away a bit of the enjoyment.
If you’re in the mood for dinner with an ocean view (which of course factors into the price tag), Dryft is a solid pick — especially for seafood or light to mid-range dishes.
Pictured are the Chicken Cutlet Alfredo, Faroe Island Salmon and Pokémon bowl.
We also tried the Calamari, Ceviche and Clam Chowder.
Street Parking was easy enough. Prices were good based on portion sizes and quality of food. Highly recommend trying this one if you are in the area!
Two out of three dishes are very good. The salmon Benedict and the duck confit are tasty.
The calamari came out lukewarm and not crispy. The service brought it back and coming out overcooked. It is suspected to be fried again instead of a new make. I don’t like it at all.
The 5 stars only go to the small, wavy blonde hair server who took really good care of me after I got seated.
Food was great, fresh, tasty, high quality!Five star all the way for the food!
Lots of wine options except no Moscato, little disappointed but that’s understandable I went with Vinnicombe Riesling German instead which was not a bad choice at all.
Atmosphere/the view was amazing, ocean view dinner vibe.
Where the 1 star came from you may asked.
When I entered the restaurant, I told the host that I want to sit at the table outside and it’s just me, party of 1. The host, who is the first point of contact, the first impression of the 5 star restaurant completely failed.
Not friendly, not smiling, not very welcoming.
After I told her my request to sit outside, she told me to wait a moment then went to ask what looked like to be the manager.
Let me explain little more, all outdoor seatings were set up neatly and 100% empty when I got there. I was thinking to myself while waiting to get seated or maybe those tables were all reserved and if it’s not available I’ll just leave because I really want to sit with the view as I am not from around here and it’s not like I can come back tomorrow to dine in again.
Then the host finally came back after good 2-3 minutes and walked me to the outdoor seatings area.
Out of maybe 15 empty tables, she decided to sit me at the table by the door where the door keeps on opening and closing.
Then she said “just this table right here ok!” with an attitude. No sense of hospitality at all whatsoever.
I was about to leave at that point but I really want to enjoy the twilight, food and dessert so I was like whatever, let’s just ignore.
My server, I don’t remember her name, small with wavy blonde hair helped my dinner felt less awkward. She was attentive, smile a lot, and knowledgeable about the wine options.
The food came out in timely manner and perfect timing between the appetizer and the entree. I asked for extra sauce for my calamari as the meal arrived and informed my server to keep the calamari on the table as I still want to finish up my calamari later. As I finished my salmon, sat back for couple minutes, a new server came and took my “not finished” calamari plate away without asking.
Dear Dryft, I felt like your food and atmosphere is 5 stars all the way but your FOH team still needs improvement.
It’s Tuesday evening, with party of 1, from the time I seated around 6:30 pm to almost 8 pm when I finished, outdoor seatings were 80% empty… Dryft closed at 10 pm, absolutely no need to rush to take the food away from the guest without asking. It’s not even that busy to cause to host to have an unwelcoming attitude.
Party of 1, I paid over $100, wine, appetizer, meal, dessert. I think next time I will spend it elsewhere. I don’t mind the prices but what I do mind is if the overall quality of the restaurant match the price I paid. In this case, the food and atmosphere matched the price I paid but not the service.
As for the food – we ordered apps and main at the same time. Literally 5 mins after our apps arrived, so did our main. We sent it back to the kitchen and it came out later. We could tell that our mains were just kept on warm for 15 mins. So if you aren’t in a rush – stagger your order bc the kitchen isn’t managing the flow. Our server was friendly and apologized for the timing issue. She offered to remake the food – but we didn’t ask for that.
The food was delicious and drinks yummy!
