I was craving barbecue and wanted somewhere close to home. Through a google search this popped up. On the website it’s indicated rated the best ribs in Cleveland for 2025. So, I decided to try them. I looked at the menu and some pics and other reviews. I drove there and placed my to go order. I ordered the 2 meats of rib tips and wings and 1 side of fries came with my choice. I was given about 1 tablespoon size cups (2) of sweet barbecue sauce. I paid $18 for the dinner. The cornbread that all the reviews raved about is very good. It’s sweet and I thought the bits of corn would be noticeable but they weren’t and it came with the dinner. Everything had a very good taste dry rub flavors. Yes, the rib tip meat fell apart and somewhat juicy but flavorful when picking them up and chewing, but I would prefer my tips not as burnt on one side. Overall they’re good. I added my own sugar free sauce of zero sugar Sweet Baby Ray’s. I wish more restaurants would offer sugar free or less sugar items

We stopped here after visiting Cleveland. Best BBQ I’ve had. The candied bacon is not something I would pass up. It is so good on the 3 meat sandwich. I wanted to try the dessert but I was so full. The brussels are also really good. Definitely recommend. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Fun little place! Traveled on a whim 1.5 hours away just to try a spot that has earned a title 6 years straight. Think menu online needs updated. Seasonal changes aren’t kept current. I personally had the 3 taco meal. Definitely filled me up. Wife and I had a great time. Server was excellent.

My friend and I drove half an hour to try this place, and it was worth it. Every single thing was perfection from the drinks to the bbq. They make their own pickles, and they are the best pickles I’ve ever had. I even got a side of them because they are that good. The server was friendly and helpful, offering insight and recommendations. The brussel sprouts are incredible. Don’t miss this place. Also, we got food for five people and it was less than $100, and that includes a cocktail. I’d you like genuine bbq, this is the place to try. As a side note, most of the tables are tall, but there are some that are typical height against the far wall.

Living in the Southeast I’m surrounded by good BBQ, but we really enjoyed Woodstock while back home in NEO. The smell from outside the building should draw you in to begin with. The menu is diverse and the prices are very fair. I highly recommend the three-meat sandwich. Each tender meat has its own identity. The smoked pastrami was equally as satisfying, along with the corn bread and Mac and cheese with some sort of pulled pork jam. The service was attentive and nice, and the place was full for lunch. Hope to be back again when in the area.

My husband and I have been coming here regularly for years and have never had a bad meal, experience, or interaction. The drinks are great and change regularly with the seasons. The food is consistently great no matter what day or time. We love the staff and environment at Woodstock. A great meeting place for family or friends.

It was my first Woodstock experience. I ordered the Poutine with Brisket and it was hard to put my fork down, even after I was stuffed. It was that good. I look forward to being delighted by their food again in the near future.

There aren’t a lot of great BBQ restaurants in Cleveland, but there are plenty of good ones.

Woodstock won the 2024 Scene Magazine Best BBQ in Cleveland award, beating out 2023 winner Mabel’s (Michael Symon’s joint).

I have been to Mabel’s original location downtown and to their Eastside location, and I wasn’t terribly impressed.

Having heard about Woodstock, I wanted to give it a try, and finally did yesterday.

It was around 3:00 p.m., and we were able to walk right in and pick our table. The service was prompt throughout the visit, and our drinks and food were served quickly.

I wanted to sample as much meat as I could, so I ordered the four-meat plate. My wife ordered the Turkey sandwich, and I swiped a bit of turkey, so I was able to sample five different meats.

First, I love to sample the sides before I taste the meat. If a restaurant is going to make homemade sides, and not just your basic vegetable or bean, they’re usually going to have some quality meat.

The sides I ordered were the Kansas City Cheesy Corn, Collard Greens, and Fried Brussel Sprouts in Sweet Chili BBQ.

The corn was just OK. The Collard Greens were flavorful but needed more pepper for my liking. The Brussel Sprouts were nice and caramelized, and had some great flavor.

Now, on to the meat:

1. Brisket

I give the brisket the lowest rating of all the meats I tasted. It was tender, but needed more of a bark to add some flavoring.

2. Wings

The wings had a nice rub that coupled with the smoke flavor, really made these a delight. They were cooked well, and fell off the bone.

3. Texas Sausage

This was my favorite of the meats I sampled. The sausage had a great texture and balance of meat to fat. I used all three BBQ sauces to see how each enhanced the flavor. Good stuff.

4. Rib Tips

The Rib Tips were cooked well, and fell off the bone. These would make a great appetizer.

5. Turkey

I stole a few pieces of my wife’s Turkey Sandwich so I could sample the meat.

This was some of the best smoked turkey I’ve had.

SAUCES

Sweet BBQ: Good stuff and really enhances the meat and smoke flavors.

Spicy: This was just tangy, not really spicy. I wish they had something with more heat.

Carolina Mustard: I’m not a big fan of the Carolina mustard-based sauces, but this was pretty good.

Overall, the service was quick, the food was really good, and the sauces added some different flavor profiles into the mix.

All in all, I’d agree with Woodstock beating out Mabel’s for Best BBQ in Cleveland, but I haven’t eaten at all the BBQ joints in the area. I hope to do that soon!
