We heard good things about this restaurant but we were disappointed by the food. The taste of the food was good but we encountered what everyone fears from a restaurant that serves chicken; we received pink, slimy, undercooked chicken. We could only eat about 25% of the food that we spent $60 on. Quite upsetting!
If you order from here, ask them to cook the frozen chicken tenders a little longer than the timer tells the cook to prepare it. The menu and food is promising and the sassy sauces are quite good but beware of the raw chicken!

You really can’t go wrong with the tenders and wedges – a Sal’s classic. There’s only two small tables so don’t plan on eating there, but food is great. Love sassy sauce.

Fried chicken and wedges were good. The burgers were ok. Prices were high for what you get. A bit of a wait for your food to be made fresh. Love the sassy sauce

Sal’s Birdland is a childhood favorite. I love the blue cheese it’s a staple to the chicken if you ask me. Even though it’s not the exact same as Rochester it’s definitely way better than downtown blue cheese. My chicken and wedges were good. Cooked crispy like we all love! The prices are fair due to the way every where else are overpricing things.

Burnt wings and potato wedges cooked in dirty oil. Wings had tips still attached, which maybe it’s a thing, but I had Sal’s from a different location and they didn’t have this. Fried pineapple should have been good, but cooked in bad oil, so no. $60 for terrible food that was largely inedible.

Hands down one of the best spots around for wings and comfort food! The Sassy sauce is an amazing sweet, spicy, and full of flavor you can’t find anywhere else. The chicken is always crispy on the outside, tender inside, and perfectly coated. The staff is friendly, service is quick. Sal’s never disappoints. A true Central New York gem!

ordered the tenders, baked beans, salt potatoes, and coleslaw. all came out fairly quick, and with ample portions. The salt potatoes tasted better than many of the local spots I tried during my vacation, and the tenders were top tier as well. Coleslaw and baked beans were decent as well. Price was reasonable and my order came out to about $22 before tax. Skyler was very helpful in recommending the side dishes to me, and threw in some extra sauce for the tenders. 10/10 will definitely be visiting this location again when I’m on vacation again.

Chicken cooked perfectly. Sassy ranch one of my favorite sauces. Their chicken and waffles are delectable.

Flavorless. I ordered the 4 tenders and wedges meal with sassy blue sauce. I’m guessing all the flavor was supposed to come from the sauce (which they forgot to include in our order) because everything else was bland and not crispy. My husband got the Sal’s plate (garbage plate) with chicken. The beans were cold and there were only 2 small pieces of chicken. The combo of the sweet Mac salad and sweet beans with everything else presented flavor contrast, but overall bland and disappointing. Nothing strongly flavored.
No where to sit to wait for your order.
It was not busy when we went.

Ordered some lunch for some of my workers and we were all very impressed on how great the chicken tasted. Very crispy and of course you can’t go wrong with the sassy sauce! Will definitely be back.
