First of all, they have shifted to a new place. It used a proper Indian/Pakistani restaurant vibe with sooting Bollywood music playing in the background . Now it’s located on the ground floor of some hotel and honestly feels like a cheap cafe, with coffee beans and coffee machines on display. There is absolutely no ambiance anymore.
We visited in winter, and it was freezing cold inside. The heating wasn’t working at all — not even the AC. The place was almost empty, and the staff were extremely inattentive. Even one staff member brought some groceries from outside and put them next to our table. We sat for so less time, ordered a few starters, and that was it. The experience was so bad that we decided to leave without having a proper meal.
On top of all this, they charge a 10% service fee. For what service exactly? There isn’t even cash desk. The vibe is bad and the service is worse. I think this place now only exists to serve hotel breakfast (if i am not wrong).
It’s really sad because this restaurant used to be one of the best — best food, best vibe, best experience. Now it’s somewhere I wouldn’t go back to even if the food was free.
At the beginning we had struggles with finding an actual location of the restaurant (they changed places – desi vibey interior isn’t there anymore unfortunately) you walk in through art gallery? Walking down you see most boring and dull interior ever – like random places generator, restaurant without a soul. Place was empty, few minutes after our arrival only two guests left the place and we were alone with the whole crew.
We ordered two dishes – food was just ok. Nothing crazy good (chicken tikka masala and butter paneer + garlic naan) – the only thing I can say is the visual aspect of the food – insane, dull plates and food looked so sad and exhausted literally. We also waited quite a while but seeing how dead this place was I can understand that the kitchen wasn’t working 24/7.
Price wise it wasn’t the experience you want to pay money for – I really don’t mind paying for good food and experience when I go out but here – it didn’t meet the expectations and what we saw in the reviews from the previous location.
Plus we were sitting there alone – only two customers and we literally felt eyes of the crew on us, which made our experience even more uncomfortable. ~ waitress was nice and she def tried her best.
Def not gonna come back again
The prices are a bit expensive
but the food is definitely worth trying.
The owners are very kind and respectful.
Highly recommended!
She gave us time to decide and remained attentive throughout without being intrusive. She explained the menu clearly and helped us choose both starters and main dishes according to our preferences. Based on her recommendations, we ordered channa chaat, masala fries, and pakoras. The pakoras stood out the most—fresh, crispy, and very enjoyable. Overall, the starters were well prepared and satisfying.
As our meal continued, the staff were checking in on us after each dish was served, which added to the comfort of the experience. For the main course, again following the suggestions, we ordered chicken achari and chicken karahi with rice and garlic naan. The food was freshly made, flavorful, and cooked to the level of spice we requested. Everything was served hot and tasted authentic.
By the end of the meal, we were completely full and satisfied. The food quality, service, and location all came together nicely, making it a pleasant dining experience. We enjoyed our visit and would definitely consider coming back again
The service staff handled the situation professionally. The young woman with glasses serving us was attentive, polite, and clearly made an effort to improve the experience. She even brought fresh, hot bread directly from the kitchen without being asked. Her service genuinely stood out. I wanted to tip her separately for her effort, but the manager added the tip through the card machine with the bill. I sincerely hope the tip actually reached her, because she truly deserved it.
