Spontaneously came here one evening with a friend and was pleasantly surprised! The sushi here is AMAZING!! The portion size to price ratio is fantastic and every bite we had was delicious. I will say it is quite cramped in here and service just a tad bit slow. But, other than that, everything was great. Definitely would prefer to get takeout here.

Stopped by on a Friday night for a solo date!
Food ordered:
Salmon 28 roll
Honda lasagna roll
Veggie dumplings

Drinks ordered:
Lemonade
Apple sake.

I was fairly disappointed by the salmon 28 roll and the Honda lasagna roll aswell. The Honda lasagna toppings almost has a Cheeto puff taste that I didnt particularly expect nor enjoy. I would like for the veggie dumplings to be served a little warmer as the sauce it’s plated with makes the dish cold. And you really can’t taste much of the flavor of the veggie just the sauce, which is like a sweet guava tasting sauce but it’s heavy on salt. Service was excellent and extremely accommodating.

Came here recently for my cousins birthday, it wasn’t packed but most of the booths were taken. We sit down, after the first 20 mins, everything seemed to be fine, we ordered two appetizers and then shortly after our sushi and entrees had arrived, my cousin noticed they had little creatures there and I ended taking a picture immediately, I even saw one behind him. As I’m writing this review, I still feel some type of way, I’m not even exaggerating because this wasn’t my first time here, but it was for my cousin. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED AND COMPLETELY DISGUSTED! You lost a customer. Honestly the staff were somewhat attentive but the way they acted when I let them know about the issue, all were in shock didn’t know what to do, the manager handled the situation the best way he could. But one thing I noticed, someone in the back had turned the music volume up so the other customers couldn’t hear me when I spoke up about the issue, I understand business wise, you want peoples money but you need to fix that situation throughout before you invite anyone in. I am actually saddened by this place now. Prior to that day, it felt warm and cozy. Me personally, I cannot just sit there, eat my food and act like everything is okay when it’s clearly not. This place needs to be looked into seriously.

The sushi here is great, but the young servers could use more training. They aren’t very attentive and seem to struggle with answering menu questions. That said, I would still come back. The lobster lasagna and Fire Dragon roll were delicious, and the space—though very tight—feels intimate.

Absolutely the sushi spot! The veggie roll options are bigger than anywhere else. My favorite roll was the dance with Tuna. Bit of a wait because there aren’t a ton of seats but definitely worth it.

The food was so amazing which is why it pains me to bring it down two stars. The service was nonexistent. The servers, all very young very very inattentive. Our server, a young woman never once checked on us or asked us if we wanted water. The person who served us our drinks eventually was different from her who took our order and delivered it, and the person who closed our check was different as well. A total of three different people. Of course, still tipped above the minimum as they’re young but the staff could use some training in earning that. In addition, it’s a bit expensive but very delicious and hope the tips go to those cooks!

There were bones in the smoked salmon in my Philadelphia roll. I also don’t understand why the Lobster Lasagna roll is so popular; it’s fine, but not anything special.

I don’t want to waste your time with too much unnecessary detail, but I really enjoyed my time here at Sushi Jin. We came in on a Saturday night close to 9 PM and the place was packed.

Thankfully we were able to get a spot despite how busy it was. The service was very attentive, there is a wide variety of options to choose from ranging from the classics to creative originals that Sushi Jin has come up with.

I happened to be dining with vegetarians, and I still really enjoyed the variety of vegetarian options, the presentation of the sushi, and most of all the taste.

I definitely have plans to go back and try more items from their exciting menu, which also features other food aside from sushi. Try it out!

Haven’t been here for a min, more like a little over a year . This used to be one of our favorite sushi restaurants before we moved away.

Always love the atmosphere , the inside setting is very much like an authentic restaurant. Wall decoration are really fun to look at.

During this visit , the service was as good as always, friendly and attentive.

However, we were not a big fan of some of the dishes they added to the seasonal menu , for instance , the fried ball appetizer, and added Sriracha to some of the sushi rolls making spicy. Personally, I like Sriracha, however after Sriracha is added to sushi, I personally feel a change the flavor the sushi should have. Also the sauce added to the sashimi appetizer felt like it shouldn’t be there.

Value- didn’t feel there was too much of a price jump, still pretty decent and reasonable.

Parking- nearby Silver Spring downtown parking garages are available.

Do recommend @WineDinenVacay

Want an izakaya experience without flying to Japan? This is about the closest you’ll get, and it does an amazing job at that.

The food was great (I recommend the tonkotsu ramen) and the selection of sake was even better (if you can shell out for it, get the Dassai 45).
