Reviews
I grabbed a crème brûlée oat milk latte from Axum and it was delicious. What made it even better was the cozy alleyway seating… it’s the perfect tucked-away nook to sip and relax. Great vibes, friendly service, and I’ll definitely be back.
I like coming here when I need to sit down with my laptop, organize my thoughts, or knock out some work. The environment is relaxed but productive, and the coffee is always solid.
It’s also the kind of place where you see other entrepreneurs, freelancers, and remote workers doing the same thing — working, meeting clients, or just taking a break to think through ideas.
If you’re looking for a comfortable coffee shop to work, focus, and recharge, Axum Coffee is definitely a great place to do it.
The cafe boasts a warm and welcoming atmosphere, offering a diverse selection of coffee options to choose from. I ordered an iced black coffee and also picked up a bag of their coffee beans to take home.
The coffee was fresh, smooth, and well-balanced, with just the right amount of taste and no unnecessary sweetness. I loved my coffee and would recommend Axum Coffee if you’re looking for a quality coffee stop in Winter Garden.
More than coffee. Axum is community. This is always my go to coffee shop in between appointments near downtown Winter Garden. I grab a cold brew, find a shaded table on the patio, open my laptop and get to work. It’s a common stop for all the bike riders on The Orange Trail. More
Even though the Wi-Fi is very unreliable and it’s extremely difficult to work here because I constantly have to switch between different networks and still run into problems, I kept coming because I generally liked the place and the atmosphere.
However, what happened yesterday was the reason I’m leaving this review. Around 5:30 PM, I bought two hot chocolates, one for me and one for my daughter (the small cup). Unfortunately, my daughter didn’t want to drink it right away, but a little later she did. I went back to the counter and politely asked if they could warm it up for her.
The employee told me they couldn’t because the microwave wasn’t working. I honestly find that unacceptable for a café. My daughter ended up crying, and I had to deal with a full tantrum. Of course I wasn’t going to buy another hot chocolate just to have it served warm again.
I’m extremely disappointed, and as a loyal customer, I expected much better. I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of basic service and the way this situation was handled. I do not recommend this place and I won’t be coming back.
But the magic isn’t just in the people. The shop itself is a little sanctuary downtown: warm wood, inviting nooks, and sunlight spilling across tabletops like it’s in on the secret. It feels less like a coffee stop and more like a gathering place — where locals trade stories, students set up camp with laptops, and travelers stumble in and suddenly wonder if they’ve discovered Winter Garden’s living room.
They are a true fixture in the community and scream all things local!
