They do NOT sell pierogies here any more… despite all the signs and inside signs saying they do. Atmosphere was cold. No greeting. No menus… very odd. Disappointed.

Google Maps steered us here because we were looking for pierogis–but this is actually a Colombian restaurant. Food smelled pretty good and it seemed cozy but we just came for the bag of frozen potato and cheese pierogis they sell, possibly through some arrangement with a Polish landlord? We cooked these at home and they were definitely hand made, tasted homemade and delicious and substantial and quite inexpensive. A somewhat absurd experience. Only in America.

I miss the original owner. I would buy from him all the time. The Pirogi aren’t the same anymore. The last time I went there to get Pirogi, I grabbed a few packages from the cooler out front. The owner of the Columbia place grabbed a package from the freezer.

The worker rang everything up and the tip screen came up, I clicked no tip. They claimed there was a mistake with my order and rang me up again, I still clicked no tip. The owner and the workers attitude changed towards me. They were very polite at first but got upset when I didn’t want to tip.

The price of the Pirogi is expensive as it is and I grabbed 90% of my Pirogi myself. Tipping is getting out of hand as it is, I’m not tipping you for walking to a cooler and grabbing one package of Pirogi.

The Pirogi sold themselves, the lady ruined a great side business. Maybe that was her plan all along.

Have been a customer here for pirogi as long as the current owner’s Mother was making the homemade pirogi decades ago. The best pirogi besides the ones my polish church made growing up. “Homemade Pirogi” makes a variety of flavors and a they are all out of this world. I live in NC now but every time we come to visit NJ, we stop in and get a cooler filled of these amazing little pillows of perfection. You will never regret buying these. So delicious!

You should be aware that this place is now a Columbian restaurant. You can still purchase homemade perogies there, but it’s only from a refrigerated case in the front of the store. It seemed well stocked when I was there, but no mushroom. So, you get what is available. The old place is no more, even though they still have the signs outside the building. Sorry to see it go.

Our go-to for pierogi! Potato and cheese is our regular choice. The only reason I’m giving four stars for service is that they don’t offer preorders. The staff was friendly and helpful, but it took me two trips (over an hour away) to get our order.

Besides pirogis, it is a Colombian food place, the food is ok,only take out though.
I used to love this place till 12/24/23. I ordered a lechona, which a roasted pig stuffed with rice., brought home, followed instructions to reheat and when we were going to eat it was spoiled, it smelled so bad it ended up in the garbage, $213 down the drain. I spoke to them, their answer ” we’ll give you 25% off your next order.. what makes them think there is going to a next order? Besides small stuff please don’t waste your money.

I drove to this place looking forward to eating some excellent fresh and hot and cooked pierogi.
It appears it’s not mentioned in any of the reviews, and it’s not clear. The store has a new Colombian owner, and the new name is now
La Victoria. Because of Pirogie’s reputation
They are keeping the storefront name. But it’s misleading. First, as a Google reviewer, I was taking pictures of what appeared to be excellent Colombian snacks. I was very disappointed; I purchased Colombian tamales, some chorizo, and a bag of frozen Pirogi. The only thing I could eat and enjoy was the Pirogi, which I had to cook myself. And on top of that, one of the Colombian friends of what appears what the owner chased me as I walked out of the store, accusing me of taking pictures of her girlfriend and demanding to see my phone. I explained to her that I do Google reviews and, yes, I was taking pictures but not of her friend. Anyways, lousy experience and food. It’s best to go to a Polish store that can serve you a hot plate of fresh pirogis as it’s supposed to be.
Thi was a waste of my time and drive.
