I also have been eating in this restaurant for at least 20 years. I have always loved the people and the food. Unfortunately I have been disappointed the last few times. Salsa as a sauce is lazy, the evening manager is more attentive to chatting with his staff than the restaurant. The friendly attentive manager and family recipes are missing. I understand covid caused horrible harm to these independent family run businesses. It may take a while to bring back the customers, but changing what worked and was a favorite in Hemet is not the way to do it.

This is a preliminary evaluation, as it’s my first time here.
Ok I was there for a karaoke night n it is also is taco night. I had a duet Pepsi not sure about the flavor in the lg. Plastic cup for 4. and 2.00 taco which was the worst taco ever to me. I was asked if I wanted tomato on it I said yes. Here is what I received ( sadly I ordered 2) hard , it was shredded beef that look like a table worth of chewed gray meat, water lettuce filled to just about the top of the shell, a sprinkle of Mexican cheese, and oh the tomato was places gently on top in the middle it was the size of, as if you, sliced a cherry tomato . I requested sour cream and I ate. My body then proceeded to become a gas factory for about a hour. The customers enjoyed all the free entertainment of the singers. Several family groups were in attendance. I don’t know how the rest of the food is. Most of the staff didn’t look happy to be there except for just the one female waitress who smiled when greeting customer. I might go back one day as our karaoke options r limited in our area, sadly. ( Good karaoke I mean ).

That $10 burritov turns into $20 fast.
The menu shows things to add to your burrito, enchilada style +$2.95, ranchero style +$3.25, Verde style +$3.50, add rice OR beans INSIDE +$2.75
We added rice and beans so that we could share with my daughters 9 year old. The waitress charged us for “combo.plates” and told us it was cheaper this way. We paid double for our burritos. Instead of a $30 dinner, our dinner was $60.
This was our first and last visit.

This used to be a great restaurant it used to be family owned. My husband and I have been going to this particular place for many years. We were astounded when all of a sudden, the quality of everything just hit the floor and after today’s visit has remained on the floor and we will never go back. I am sorry to say this we know the people and we’ve known them for years. Very sad day for that restaurant dated today.

The shredded beef is the thing to get
2-2020 Portion sizes have decreased over the years and prices have gone up but the service is still decent. I’d like to see this place do better so hope the owners/management get reinvigorated in this competitive environment. $8 for a burrito and $12+ for a beans/rice/salad combo with a protein seems a little high unless the portion sizes for larger
2019 We had a few different items as pictured. The service is great. The shredded chicken burrito could stand a little work.

Our family visited in honor of my Uncle after his funeral service since he visited quite regularly. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our large group. The drinks and food were served quickly and everything was fantastic. My husband, who is epileptic, got about halfway done with his meal when the lights shining through the ceiling fans started to affect him. While we stepped out to get some fresh air our family explained the situation to the staff and without question they turned off all the ceiling fans. It was a huge gesture of humanity and I thank everyone there.

We came here for the first time and ordered a chili relleno combo with a taco, a two Taco combo, and a shredded beef quesadilla appetizer. They brought our food out hot, and the plate was hot. We were unable to eat the quesadilla appitizer, it’s big enough for 2 people to share, and they put plenty of meat inside it. This restaurant has plenty seating that’s comfortable and adjusts for plus size people. They also serve complimentary chips and salsa that’s pretty tasty. The waitress was really sweet too. We will definitely come back.
