All we know is that we are a couple of local gorillas making the best Mexican food in Pigeon Forge. Our place is all about community, great food, cool vibes, and a little bit of the unexpected. Think Mexican wrestlers, gorilla-sized margarita towers and menu packed with bold tacos, burritos, Enchiladas and much more. Come hungry, come curious, and dive into the ring!

Just the name alone got our attention! Sitting up on a hill, this vibrant, colorful spot definitely makes you do a double take, the food and service will make you do a double visit!! The inside is just as exciting and colorful as the outside so be prepared! The giant gorilla wrestler is the first to greet you, make sure you get a photo, especially with the kiddos! We were greeted with a genuine welcome and smiles and sat right away since we were dining at an odd time, in between lunch and dinner. I imagine, with the quality of food, there may be a wait during popular times. Chips and salsa were being delivered as we were being seated and our drink orders were taken right away. With margaritas on the way, we dove into the menu. They’ve got some very creative tacos and several other choices. We were there for the tacos so hubby ordered three different ones and I got the quesabirria. All of the tacos were delicious but the quesabirria stole the number one slot, they are amazing! The beans are phenomenal, spicy, rich and full of meat, yes, meat! If we were in town longer we would have definitely gone back, now we’ll just have to wait for our next visit, Gorilla Taco will be the first place we go!

We had a really solid experience at Gorilla Tacos. The decor and overall vibe immediately stood out and definitely added to the experience — it’s a fun, creative space that feels intentional and well thought out. They also have tons of TVs, which makes it a great spot to hang out, especially if you’re catching a game.
We tried the fried avocado taco and the smashburger taco, both of which showcased the more creative side of the menu. The flavors weren’t mind-blowing, but they were good and enjoyable, and it was fun trying something different from standard tacos. We also shared the guacamole and queso. While it wasn’t the best guac we’ve ever had, it was still flavorful and paired well with the meal.
What really stood out was the service. The place was packed with rec teams and families, yet the staff did an amazing job keeping things moving. Service was very fast, friendly, and well organized despite how busy it was. Prices felt fair for what you get, especially considering the atmosphere and overall experience.
Overall, a solid spot worth checking out if you’re looking for unique taco options in a lively setting.

Holy cow!!!!! This is NOT your average Mexican restaurant!!! Today was our first visit and we will definitely be back soon!! The food was amazing and the service was fantastic!! Oh, and if you’re lucky enough to be seated by the windows, the views from the dining room are pretty fabulous, too!! Please don’t pass this one by….you won’t be disappointed!! Gotta give a special shout out to our server, Rhea! She was the best!!
UPDATE: I have now been to Gorilla Taco 5 times & have had the same wonderful food & service each time! I have also been fortunate enough to bring friends with me (for their first time) & show them our new favorite restaurant in Pigeon Forge!! So far, everyone loves it as much as we do!!!

We’ve tried everything on the menu and it’s all delicious. Tonight we ordered the fries for the first time, and WOW they were amazing! The fries had a great seasoning on them. My favorite is the americano taco my wife’s favorite is the Quesobarrila taco . The service, atmosphere, food, prices and staff are terrific. This is definitely one of our favorite places to diner out. PS the chips and salsa the give you is very addictive. A+

First time here. Looked good on reviews. However, one of us Needed no tomatoes, was offered tomatillo salsa. If u can’t have the tomatoes ask for cheese sauce. Still had tomatoes in guac in the next dish. Asked for chimichanga but got a salad bowl? The new chimichangas? Too hungry to wait for correction. Also got 3 tacos. Music little loud. But it was ok. I give this a 6 out of 10 due to order errors. Food was good but not wow. May try another time. It was slow season and time so shouldn’t have had order errors.

The salsa was the best I’ve ever had, chunky like I like it. We had Americano tacos with refried beans and Mexican rice. Everything was fresh and tasted so good. We will definitely go back to our now favorite Mexican restaurant.

Man those chips and salsa!!! We couldn’t get enough!! My steak taco wasn’t the best ive had but it was good. My pulled pork was amazing. Our kids were not fans so we intend on returning with just the two of us. Our waiter was very nice and pleasant. Typical service as expected.
