This place is awesome. I have walked over from the Loves across the interstate a half dozen times over the last few years. Never fails to please. I always get the same thing. Brisket and ribs with potato salad and pinto beans. All very well made. Iced tea is best by far. Nice ladies and nice atmosphere. Will stop again next time I come this way.

Reading reviews had me skeptical. You can only eat Subway, McDonald’s, Chesters, Arby’s, Burger King, at Loves so much. When something else is nearby you’d rather eat that. So anywho I walked over ordered the sampler with fried okra and sweet tea. It was tasty.

The people were amazing, atmosphere was cool but as someone who eats bbq 2 to 3 times a week OTR, this is some of the worst I’ve ever had. it was super dry and flavorless and I think I tasted lighter fluid I’m not sure . I hate to leave a negative review like this but between me and my husband we spent almost 90$ and it wasn’t even edible. Especially with us being actual Texans born and raised and this place being in Texas, it’s really just plain unacceptable and embarrassing. $23 plate of brisket only and it was like I was chewing rocks. Peep the bend test :/ I promise those who are traveling, this is not Texas BBQ

I wish I could give it a better rating but the quality of the food that was given to me keeps me from being able to. My service was great and I love the atmosphere of the place. My food on the other hand left a lot to be desired. I got a half rack of ribs and a large sweet tea. Sweet tea was great. My ribs were just basically fat with a hint of meat sprinkled in. I couldn’t eat but 2 because of all the fat and grease from the fat. Idk who trimmed these but they missed it by a long shot. The other food I saw go out looked great and I truly hope it was for those folks and I’d planned on ordering banana pudding but after those ribs I just took my tea and left. Maybe they just had an off day and I’d like to give them another shot to find out but I can’t see myself ordering ribs again.

Finally got a chance to stop and try this little Bbq joint out. And let me tell you I won’t be stopping again. I ordered a loaded potato with only butter extra cheese and extra sour cream with chopped brisket and no bacon bits. Two soft chicken tacos with only cheese and sour cream. And got a potato that was not cooked all the way no sour cream. No extra cheese, no sour cream, it also had bbq sauce and the bacon bits that I had not requested on it. The two chicken tacos had no sour cream which was requested. And the chicken did not smell bad. But did not have a good smell. Oh and the peach cobbler needs a bit more sugar. Also the lady that brought it out. Only brought out the two tacos and cobbler. She rushed off not listening to me that the order was not all there. So I had to wait for another lady. Then I hear her saying his order is all there. Right at 40 bucks after I left a 22 percent tip. Just blows my mind that this place is still on operation like this.So this place gets only one star. I hate giving bad reviews but this place definitely deserves one star. Hopefully they do better in the future though.

Tried out this little BBQ joint. It was pretty good, but the portions on the meat were pretty small. The chicken fried steak was okay. Wasn’t the best in the world but edible. The service was awesome and the restaurant had lots of cool memorabilia. See pictures. Baked potatoe was great..HUGE..overall a good experience. Might go again. God bless.

I live 28 miles away.I ordered a pound of brisket to go.I did not check my order so when i go home i had one sandwich for the price of 24.90 I like this place but….If i go this way i usual get some of there BBQ but y’all better check your orders to make sure ite right before you leave cause was supposed to feed three people!! but i did get a free order onion rings & the sandwich i got had very Little meat on it
