One of my favorite local hangouts! Right around the corner from my home so an easy stop in whenever I have time. Owner Craig is usually there, hilarious guy who absolutely loves the Patriots! Walked over during epic snowstorm to watch the Pats play (and win!! Headed to superbowl!). They had 75 cent wing special and wow, they were absolutely delicious. Ordered the buffalo sauce one and Asian sauce. Perfectly cooked, fresh and so satisfying! And course had to order the mini dogs with everything. Between the food, the perfect cosmo, playing keeno, watching the game and listening to the camaraderie between friends/regulars (the roasting of eachother is hilarious and should be televised) makes for a heart warming experience. Over the years I’ve had most of their menu items, and they’re all really delicious, at a really great price.

YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED.. IT WAS A NICE DAY TO EAT OUTSIDE.. ONE OF MY BESTIE’S HAD WHAT I HAD EXCEPT SHE HAD THE BBY HOTDOGS INSTEAD OF THE SOUP THAT I HAD.. THE OTHER BESTIE JUST HAD BUFFALO CHICKEN FINGERS.. WE HAD A GOOD TIME OVERALL.. WAITRESS WAS KIND AND HER NAME IS HOLLY WHICH IS ALSO MY LAST NAME.. GO FIGURE!

Iconic and the best mini hot dogs that I have had in years. I love this place.
If you’re a hot dog fan, you HAVE to try this restaurant. The snap of the dogs, the taste and chew of the steamed buns, the toppings…they’re next to perfect, if not perfect!
Also give the Make Your Own Mac n Cheese a try if you love mac n cheese. They have a bunch of options!!
The pics don’t lie ❤️

The place was super busy, but we were able to find a table quickly. The service was quick, and the food was quite tasty. We ordered the fried green beans as our appetizer. They were perfectly fried and the sour cream and horseradish dip was delicious. We ordered three of their baby hot dogs with “everything” (special sauce, mustard, and onions. The baby hot dogs are about 3.5 ” long and simply adorable. They were yummy. My husband ordered their Texas burger, it does not come with a side. It would have been nice if our server had pointed this out. The patty looked dry but overall it was okay. I ordered the buffalo mac & cheese. The portion was sizable and nicely presented in a sizzling cast iron skillet. It had some heat but not a lot of buffalo flavor. It was cheesy and had a few pieces of chicken throughout. I enjoyed the meal.

From the hundreds of amazing reviews, my partner and I expected so much better…

When we drove up to this restaurant, we noticed a lively cute outside seating area, but no seats were available, so we opted to sit inside. It was like pure night and day between the two. Inside was awkwardly quiet, dull and sad feeling inside…. there was no sign about seating, or the etc, so we waited a minute or so. The waitress told us we could sit anywhere we’d like. We sat down, and then it was about 3-5 minutes before we were greeted at the table.

One waitress seemed new and overwhelmed. The other waitress was nice and took over the room a little bit. Our waitress greeted us, was friendly and nice! When we got the menu, we were surprised there weren’t many actual hot dog options…… hot dog ranch, you’d think there’d be quite a few hotdog options…

We ended up ordering plain mac & cheese, plain baby hot dog, fried chicken sandwiche, fries, and chili cheese tots.

The pictures are quite deceiving..

The baby hotdog was excellent, with a great flavor on the hot dog, bun, and great snap to the hot dog.

I read so many reviews about their mac & cheese being the best people have ever had; sadly, for me, this was the most bland mac & cheese I’ve ever had in my life… typically, I don’t have to add much salt or pepper to my Mac. I had to add more salt and pepper at least 3 or 4 times to give it some sort of flavor…

The tots were good. The chili was decent to me, but my partner said he felt like it was burnt & canned chili. The cheese sauce was somehow already super cold once it was at our table.

The fries were regular fries

My partner got the fried chicken sandwich, and he said sadly it was one of the worst he’d ever had. It was just a frozen chicken patty type sandwich, and half his bun was burnt.

Overall, the atmosphere inside felt sad and awkward, the waitress we had was very nice and friendly, but I don’t think we’d return…. between half cold food, bland mac, and bad chicken sandwich….. great hot dogs, but not many actual hot dog options. I’d vote to take all the rest of the items off and become a true hot dog place…..

The mac n cheese is where it’s at here. Everything was good but this was one of the best mac and cheese dishes we’ve had. We got the hot dogs with sauerkraut and without onions, an order of tater tots and the mac and cheese with bacon, broccoli and black olive. The hot dogs are equivalent to white Castle but for hot dogs. The tater tots were tasty and they didn’t screw them up. The mac actually had the toppings mixed throughout which was very nice.

Clearly a place only for locals. Multiple signs say wait to be seated but staff will just stare at you dumbly without saying a word. Not worth wasting your time here. I’m sure the food could be great. But the rest of it sucks

Service was horrible.! Got there at 11 am. Whoever the old lady was behind the counter suxs!. There was no customer service. Not a smile to welcome us in. Felt as tho we were bothering them by coming inn to get food!. Spent 40 dollars of six dogs and two drinks, didn’t even ask if I needed my hotdogs wrapped to go.

Another local restaurant bites the dust. I’ve been getting dogs here since childhood and the two things everyone knew: Only get the dogs and always get takeout. Before it closed the Lyman street location actually had a reinforced steel door between the bar and the takeout. Those dogs were great though! While inflation and the move to the former Jimmy’s location has taken its toll. The dogs are crazy expensive now. I get it, it’s a business so, let’s try something else. A friend said the chicken parm was very good. Pretty sure this was a joke. Pictured is what I got. Over-fried frozen chicken strips already cold at pickup. I think there might have been a slice of American cheese under neath but it had already congealed the bun, cheese and chicken stick into a single, inedible mass. I’ll miss the dogs but this will final memory from a once great local joint.
