Two and a half decades later, Antonio Ayala has come to create his father’s dream to own and operate one of the most well-known and successful brand of Mexican restaurants in the south-eastern United States. The original La Hacienda (The Ranch), was established in Greenwood, SC. Over the years, strict attention and dedication has gone in to each restaurant to ensure that La Hacienda always provides a truly special Mexican dining experience.

Food is always excellent. Service is always fast and friendly. Pics are all from different visits to give a general idea. I do not remember the names from the menu but the chicken is the chicken is chicken stuffed zucchini and the burritos are the mini chimichangas.

This place is great for family and friend gatherings! It can get a little expensive because most plates are close to 20. They charge for letting us try other salsas that are spicier than the one they bring out. I wanted something spicier. I didn’t like that part, but the location is wonderful. It has lots of fun backgrounds for pics. I ordered their skillet with three meats, chicken, beef, and shrimp. My shrimp were deveined as I expected. It had mushrooms, yellow squash, and onion. It was very good. Their beans and rice were amazing, too! I did love the taste. It’s a good place to unwind from a long day and chill, laugh with friends. Our server was also attentive. I’m definitely returning to try other dishes.

I was just a little picky, asked for Strawberry Daiquiri – no whip cream, add sugar on rim. When we get our drinks there’s no sugar on the rim, the waitress said “someone else had taken mine so the bartender had to remake it and she can take it back” but I said no it’s okay.
I ordered Carne Asada – no guacamole, add onions & extra jalapenos (I don’t think this restaurant adds onions with their carne asada, it wasn’t on the menu anyways).
Nothing was seasoned and the steak had no seasoning. Also they put guacamole on the veggies so I had to say “hey there’s guac on this “.
I told the waitress that “the steak was not seasoned and said don’t worry about taking it off the receipt like I’ll add cumin & limes at home.” (I only had 2 bites & made my husband try 1 bite of the steak). She tells the manager who comes up to me, I have the manager try the steak and he said “yeah there’s no seasoning” & he’ll replace it so I can take it home. So we wait.
The waitress comes back and says they weren’t remaking the food. Cool.
So now it’s 9pm, so about 3 hours later and I’m starving & thinking about that carne asada, if they’d replaced it with actual carne asada then I wouldn’t be leaving this review, but they didn’t and sent me home hungry.

So, I’ll probably never be back.

Daiquiri was good, as was the birria tacos. If only they’d have replaced the carne or the waitress had gone back to ask the manager since the manager had said he was replacing then I of course would have gone back and this would have never been spoken about.
PS. The birria pizza was not sliced all the way and looked nothing like the review of the person from a couple months ago, so beware of that, it was so unbelievably messy.

We’ve always loved this restaurant — it has a lot of sentimental value to our family and we’ve had many great experiences here. That’s why our visit last night was so disappointing.
We were seated quickly, which we appreciated, but after that the service really fell off. We asked several times for a highchair for our youngest and never received one. My husband eventually had to go find one himself. Our drinks sat empty without refills, and we didn’t get much check-in from our server throughout the meal.
Our food was good, but the overall service didn’t match what we’ve come to expect here. An automatic 18% gratuity was added, which we understand for a larger party — but with the lack of attention to basic needs (especially with young kids), the experience just felt below the usual standard.
We hope this was just an off night, because we truly do enjoy this place and want to keep coming back.

Fun restaurant, good service, and good food. We got the pineapple fajitas, quesabirria tacos, and cheese dip. Everything was delicious. Our server was accommodating and friendly. At the end of meal we had enough leftovers for two more small meals.

I look forward to going back and trying something new.. or maybe get the same thing.

I really enjoyed coming here for years but the quality and quantity of a homemade quac has gone way down. The difference between ordering (cost the same) for pick up and sitting down to order the homemade quac is insane and not worth $15. Might as well have handed me 1 avocado with a couple diced tomatoes, extra watery and 10 chips.

Went to this location with a friend on yesterday and he ordered the steak with vegetable melody with street corn. It looked good but the steak was sour. It smelled sour and my friend said it tasted funny because he didn’t realize initially that it was the steak. The manager came over and took the plate. He offered to switch my friend’s meal with another choice because they don’t do refunds for meals even if there is an issue. . After a few minutes the manager came back and said him and the kitchen staff tried (ate off that plate) the sour steak and said it was good it just had vinegar on it and contributed the sour smell to the sauce. That was ridiculous. It was so sour . I ordered steak fajitas but I was scared to eat my food after that smell.

Also at the table we were sitting at it, was near the bar on the right side. There were a lot of fruit flies flying around the table I had to keep swatting them away from our plates. .

Our server was nice though and provided good customer service.

Came here to check out the HAPPY HOURS from 4pm-7pm. It’s the place to be for the $15 Margarita pitchers if you have a small group of people. The food was decent. I ordered Chicken Fajitas and we tried the Birria Tacos. Nice atmosphere and good music!!
