Cool, authentic spot with huge portions and great prices!
This place has a real local vibe — simple, honest food done right. The portions are massive, everything is fresh and delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely worth checking out if you’re hungry and want something authentic without breaking the bank. Highly recommend!

food was great BUT the service sucked, had to ask multiple times for refills, to go plates, and still wouldn’t get them had to get up & ask for them again. Once it was time to pay the waitress that was charging didn’t makesure everyone’s plates were correct, by the time i got to the last ticket i was left paying for things that i did not get, when i told waitress what i had she had the nerve to blame me for her mistake. If you don’t know how to properly keep track of peoples orders and separate bills then you should get a new job. She was very rude & obnoxious. Also, over charged for multiple things & didn’t know what she was doing.

Really wanted to like this place. But goodness it was by far the worst food that we’ve ever had. We travel full-time and stopped in the area on our way to Big Bend. We eat a lot of Mexican food. Not sure why this place was having such a hard time getting it right. There were only two other small tables so we got there so they were definitely not busy. A week night. I tried to order several things off the menu and they were out of them. Common things like street tacos, chile relleno, barbacoa. So I ordered a combo plate and my partner ordered the birria tacos. We also ordered an appetizer of queso dip. There seem to be a language barrier a bit with our waitress. We got our queso dip fairly quick. They complementary chips and salsa, the chips were very greasy. And the salsa was running like water for some reason. The queso was not good. It was yellow and tasted like nacho cheese you would get at a gas station. It was not as pictured in the menu. And then the wait began. We waited almost an hour for our food to come out for some ungodly reason. Ask them to check on it and then about 10 minutes later it finally came out. And for whatever reason it was cold and soggy. Mine was gross. My partner’s food was ehhh. We are pretty much because we were starving by that point but still didn’t finish it because of the taste. The refried beans on my platter were burnt tasting. My partner got pinto beans with his, but for some reason they had hotdogs cut up in it. I ordered sour cream with my meal, which she forgot. And then, for some reason, she brought out a packet of sour cream. Have never had that happen when you are dining in a restaurant. There was an odd woman coming in and out of the back that had a trash bag strapped over her like a poncho. I’m guessing she was the one cooking. As all of the rest of the wait staff were younger. Definitely one of the worst dining experiences we have had. Would not recommend. $40 for food that was basically inedible. Don’t waste the time and money.

Oh my, this place is awesome. I wanted to stop eating because I was full, but the enchilada was so good I overdid it. The tacos were also really tasty. The front desk staff at our hotel recommended it, and they were spot on.

The food and fresh lemonade was delicious. They forgot my beans but I’m still giving this restaurant 5 stars! The staff was really friendly.

Was well below the average experience. I have a lot of things to say:
1. They increased prices “due to the recession”. Can’t say how much the food was before, but at this price it isn’t worth it. Most dishes are $15, when I’ve gotten *much better* Mexican food for far less.
2. The waiter spilled water on us.
3. Food took at least 15 minutes and it wasn’t that good. The combo plate is pretty much a pile of sauce and cheese, apart from the taco. The chili thing seems to be some pepper covered in fried batter. Tasted very strange.
4. The first basket of chips and salsa is free, every subsequent one is $2.
5. Service is average. The only utensil they provide is a fork, you have to *ask* for a knife. Some of the dishes require using a knife.

Was asked to wait an hour-1.5 hours for take out. I received a bag with quest spilled inside – the server actively saw it and I said it was ok. But my food was not hot and they forgot my tortillas??

Don’t waste your time.
