I stopped by Maggie D’s on Friday evening and was so impressed! The grouper piccata was absolutely delicious — fresh, light, and perfectly prepared. The bread was amazing, and I especially loved that the salad was served in a cold bowl (such a small detail, but it makes a big difference!).
Everything tasted fresh and clean, and you can tell it’s made with love! I went back the very next day for the eggplant parmesan, veal parmesan, and coconut cake — all outstanding!

Very nice and laid back Italian restaurant. Being a Friday, it was surprisingly easy to get parking and also a table for 2. The cheese tortellini with marina was great and my wife had the eggplant parm. The staff were very friendly and very attentive.

BOTTOM LINE….THE Best Italian restaurant in the area…PERIOD!! I live in Surfside Beach, and I eat at Maggi D’s twice a week every week!! My favorite…LASAGNA!! It’s too die for!!! Best authentic Italian food I’ve had outside of Philly and New York. Very reasonable prices and the owner himself seats you and works behind the bar. The care he has for his staff and customers is evident. The thing that impressed me most was when they actually turned people away when they were closing at 730pm. That says a lot about an owner and the respect he has for his employees. Not only amazing food but also exceptional service. Put it on your must try list next time you’re in Myrtle Beach.
