Everyone in our group enjoyed the plate they ordered. My husband said his Nashville hot chicken sandwich was the best he has ever had. My father in law loved his gumbo and jalapeño corn bread. I thoroughly enjoyed my fish tacos and the red beans and rice was so delicious. We also tried all 3 desserts( beignets, bread pudding and the chocolate bread pudding). All 3 were winners. My personal favorite is the orginal bread pudding.
Be advised that the time to get the food is a little long after you order because they cook everything fresh, but the wait is worth it!
The only thing I didn’t like was the small and cramped seating area inside. Most of the chairs are bar heighth and some with no back support. It was too cold to eat outdoors where there were plenty of picnic tables. Maybe adding outdoor heaters would be a good idea.
If I’m ever in Waco again, I’ll be sure to stop again!

The service was super friendly. The food was nothing to run home about. Over priced and super salty. Take that back, the Mac n cheese was not flavored at all and was dry and their jalapeño cornbread was dry and bland. The traditional bread pudding was tough and had burnt pieces in it. Will not be going back.

This was some of the best chicken I have ever had. Out of the four states I’ve lived in the 10 I have visited, this was the most tender and juiciest ever! The red beans and rice was so delicious and the shrimp po boy was delicious! I plan to bring my family next time they visit us!

My wife and I visited this restaurant while spending a couple of days in Waco, and we were not disappointed. Very friendly staff. Good food. Perfectly seasoned. Seafood Platter and Fried Short Ribs.

Just moved to the area this past year and have been here twice… let’s just say this is a new favorite spot. Tried the New Orleans Trio and fried pickles today. The fried pickles are to die for. Definitely will be bringing friends and family here when they visit.

Super friendly staff, attentive, clean establishment with extra seating to the left of main area where you order. Outdoor seating as well! Food was delicious! Seafood platter is shown and we also got the Cajin Trio (gumbo, crawfish Étouffée, and red bean/rice) highly recommend the Trio!!! Gumbo was on point!

First of all I have never had seasoned hush puppies they were so flavorful. They were also piping hot, which is exactly how I like my food! we also tried the bacon-wrapped stuffed jalapenos. I don’t usually prefer things wrapped in bacon because the bacon is sometimes soggy, this was certainly not the case. And last but not least that catfish over the two mounds of rice with crawfish etouffee ABSOLUTELY mouth-watering❤️❤️❤️

What A Place! We had the crawfish etouffe, red beans and rice, chicken, sausage and shrimp gumbo, and it was amazing! We finished everything off with traditional bread pudding, my daughter’s first time trying it, and it too was spectacular!

Definitely will be back. The food is delicious and well priced. Order at the counter then find a place to sit. Parking is a bit tight. The outdoor patio is a beautiful place to eat.

Came here to this wonderful place the food was marvelous the gator bites were so delicious and the people were so nice along with the calm atmosphere its a nice little place to come and eat. Definitely would come again in the future.
