What an amazing breakfast I had here on a Sunday morning! I had the dark hot chocolate and the Lost Eggs with mushrooms (they also have a ham option that looked amazing). The parmesan and breadcrumb crust on top is crunchy and salty… hiding a wonderful nest of creamed fresh spinach, 2 soft eggs, and flavorful mushrooms; all served in the cast iron pan it was cooked in… get this… right in front of you! Get a seat at the counter to watch the staff work quickly and efficiently in this open kitchen. The place is spotlessly clean, well organized, and the workers all function harmoniously even during a busy breakfast service. What a well-oiled machine they’ve got going here! They also have a full bar with many interesting drinks (I skipped only because is was nursing a hangover from a house party the night before) I drove clear from Hillsboro to try this place, and it was definitely worth the trip. I already can’t wait to return!

It was a rainy Saturday. Their coffee station was wet and there was like an hour wait so we went to the coffee shop up the street to stay warm. The menu had a wide variety of delicious sounding food. I got a mulled wine, lost egg with shaved ham and gluten free toast, Danish pancakes, and a pickled plate. The breakfast was good and the lunch options looked yummy as well so may have to try that next time. There is a mandatory 20% gratuity added to every bill. something about being able to pay their servers a fair wage but I think since they know they are getting mandatory gratuity they don’t really have to work for it. So u may have trouble getting ur server’s attention when u need it. Our server was nice and helpful but when she wasn’t around the others weren’t helping with simple things like extra napkins or a bag for our leftovers we had to walk a block in the rain back to our car with. I enjoyed it when we got in and would love to try their lunch but it may be a while before I am back.

This is an outstanding breakfast/brunch experience…food is outstanding here! Try the aebleskivers…damn they are good! Pork Hash is delicious! Cocktails and coffee drinks are great here as well.
The service is genuine and kind. They run a good spot here and I highly recommend anything on the menu.

Worth the wait. Swedish hash with the smoked trout is outstanding. Loved the Finnish porridge and the mixed drinks. The Hollander is definitely worth trying. Highly recommend for a weekend brunch.

Yummy yummy yummy !
Lucky we didn’t need to wait for line, but I’m sure this place is always crowded.
Pancake was delicious, hash and egg were also delicious, I got so much inspiration to cook something like this at my home ☺️

As a native Finnish born citizen, this place is amazing. It’s out of the inner city so it’s not hard to find parking. I recommend coming before they open because they WILL get busy. The salmon cakes were fantastic, I had a lingonberry mimosa and it tasted amazing. They have salmiakki (licorice) shots you can have and they are awesome as a European.

This is my first time at broder and we had an amazing experience. The wait time was long and we had littles with us but the staff made us feel comfortable and ensure we would be taken care of accordingly. Once inside the staff was quick to get our food going and it was delicious! As a new parent with two other mama friends also with littles. We often don’t go out to outings in fear of meltdowns etc. the staff ensure we were welcomed and made us feel so safe and we had a blast. Definitely will come back again soon! Thank you Broder Cafe

Was recommended to come try the food here while visiting Portland and it did not disappoint. We waited a while for our table for four, definitely over 30 minutes and we still ended up just sitting outside in the cold lol. I do not really blame them though because it is a small place and it looked like there were only two servers on the floor.

I had the Lost Eggs with a side of skivers. I have never had any sort of Nordic or Scandinavian food but I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was! It was a little pricey but it was still delicious, especially the skivers. They practically melt in your mouth and are even more tasty when you put the lingonberry jam on them.

Despite the long wait, the food made it all worth it. I look forward to coming back here again next time I am in town!

Place was great! Got there about fifteen after the opened on a Thursday which was perfect timing before it got to busy. Place is small so keep that in mind, but the food was fantastic. Got Danish pancakes and a friend got Swedish hash with season vegetables and said it was great.
