So, not sure what changed since the current owner took over, because it WAS good, but the last couple times have been bad. Granted, our server was excellent. I Regretfully didn’t catch her name today, but she was great.
I’m writing because food quality has taken a hit, it seems. Both of my daughters got spaghetti. It looked like leftovers, and I’m almost sure it was reheated. My eldest daughter got parmesan and meatballs. She complained that the parmesan was hard, crusty clumps, and that the meatballs just didn’t taste very good. She also had to ask for more marinara meat sauce cause they skimped, and it was certainly dry. She continued eating, only to find a piece of plastic in her food! Unfortunately she lost her appetite due to this. Really irritating and disturbing. How clean are the chef’s workstations and the rest of the kitchen for this to happen? My plate had a single french fry on it, and I didn’t order fries…
I didn’t bring this up at the restaurant because I want something to change at American Road Trip. We like(d) this place, and this wasn’t the first disappointing meal we’ve had in the last few months. We love the ambiance, the servers are always great, but the chef’s are lacking. After spending $100 with tip for 2 adults, 3 kids, I expect more.

It was my first time eating here and I couldn’t have been more impressed. The meals were deliciously flavored, and surprisingly inexpensive as compared with the vast majority of comparable restaurants. Service was outstanding, and we can hardly wait for our next visit. Highly recommend!

I guess this place has been a locals favorite for about 3 years. I just barely found out and I Love it. Took advantage of AYCE Riblets on Monday. The cost is $9.99 and includes 2 sides but they charge you for them so I guess I would say AYCE Riblets and 2 sides for about $12. Still an excellent price for some big meaty riblets. Justin kept our drinks and plates full. He was fast, friendly and made the whole dining experience great.

Look your bill over carefully. The food is okay. It seemed to take a long time and yet there were plenty of staff. When I got the check, there was a dish and a drink added to the bill that we did not order or receive. The waiter couldn’t provide an explanation for how it happened. I asked that it be taken off and immediately he instead offered gift cards to reimburse for the amount. Seems like something screwy is going on here. Just be sure to look at your bill carefully.

I like this place …. the wings were really good … ok riblets …. should come back for a burger maybe steak ….. the guy said best ranch its pretty good …. they have different specials everyday …. only got 1 serving of all you can eat riblets shouldn’t have got that much

This restaurant is always a great place to eat . You can also enjoy the ball games at the bar. The only disappointment was my beer . I ask for salt around the rim and the bartender forgot it. So I sent it back and as you can see in the pictures and short video got I got back. Very disappointed lot of foam too.

Their food is delicious and menu is varied (something for everyone) especially their home made potato chips served with a smokey bbq sauce. My son ordered the jambalay and it was authentic and yummy. The staff is friendly, knowledgable, efficient and honest!
I’m embarrased to admit that I left my purse there on a recent visit. They kindly sent it back to me with everything intact. We live an hour and half away, so to go back 88 mile 1.5 hour drive one way… so we truly appreciate it. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. If you’re in the neighborhood please stop by. They also have a great vew of local hillsides and mountains – above Oak Glen, CA (pick your own apples).
