I’m beyond impressed at the quality of food the chef put out, giving full attention to every dish, even under the stress of a busy day. The staff were so patient and kind, even when dealing with disgruntled customers who don’t understand that they have a tiny kitchen with 1 chef. I had no place to be and was content waiting but was still offered a drink and coffee cake as an apology for the wait. So sweet.
I had The Market, a savory crepe, which they modified for me with no questions asked. It was delicious. The coffee cake was PERFECT, the mimosa was HUGE and my coffee cup never went empty. I love the outdoor patio. It’s so cozy that I could sit out there all day.
The Hangar Cafe is an institution and I can’t wait to return!
The food was delicious, and the service was wonderful.
A perfect spot for a lunch date with my son!
Highly recommended for a relaxing and happy afternoon in Seattle.
I’m vegetarian, and the super kind staff pointed out that they offer plant-based sausage and ham, which I really appreciated. I ordered the Italian crepe with plant-based sausage and, at their suggestion, added Mama Lil’s peppers. It was so stinkin’ good -the fresh veggies were delicious, and the drizzles of crème fraiche and pesto really took it over the top.
I’m also a mimosa enthusiast and was super impressed by the juice pairing selection. My only regret is that I wasn’t more hungry, because I’m very excited to try more of the sweet offerings. I cannot rave about this spot enough. What a gem, and what excellent staff!
It’s a small, cozy spot with a charming vibe. There’s plenty of outdoor seating with blankets available in case you get chilly. I especially loved the quirky touch of each table having a different set of salt shakers — so cute! Sitting outside was lovely; you can enjoy the scent of flowers and occasionally hear planes taking off, which we found surprisingly pleasant rather than distracting.
The staff was super friendly, and everything was clean and well cared for. The only thing to note is that you’ll need to find street parking, but overall, this place is definitely worth the visit. We’ll be back for sure!
