Steak and shake has really good burgers, or as they call them, steak burgers. This location does not have table service, rather, you place your order at a kiosk and they call your name when its ready. I could not figure out how to use the soda fountain. At first I thought it was turned off, then someone told me you have to scan your receipt in order for it to dispense soda.

I can’t believe I paid $6 for this Frisco burger, its like it was made by child. Soggy bread, about 3/4″ thick total. Fast food is a race to bottom anymore. Selling food is just performative, just throw your money out the window as you drive by.

3/23/25. I wanted to try the fries that they brag about after switching to the lighter oil. WOW what a difference, the fries actually taste a lot better and lighter. So under $10 bucks u can get a double Cheeseburger combo and drink. What a good experience. I will make Steak & Shake one of my favorite places to hve lunch. Everything is automated. You order at the keask and pay right there also. You need your receipt and QR code to receive your drink.

It has probably been a decade since I’ve dined at Steak n Shake. Dined in on a weekend night around 9p and there were only 2 other tables occupied. A few folks got carryout.
The place was very clean and well lit. It has quarter toy dispensers (I have to wonder how often the gumballs and hard candy are replaced?) And a crazy claw machine. Very kid friendly.
You order at online kiosks instead of at a register with a cashier. The point of service system was easy to use. The employees were friendly and our food was ready promptly.

I love Steak ‘n Shake, I’m always happy with my food, but every time I ask for sauce and usually even ask for extra sauce even if it’s paid for, they never give you any. Usually when they ask you to pull around and they will bring it out. Need a better system if they can’t ever remember. If you aren’t sticking your face in the bag odds are you aren’t getting what you ask for.

Decent food, clean restaurant, slow service. 35 minute wait for a shake is too long so asked for refund and left. Got a bunch of excuses about being busy and drive thru priority. An apology would be better than an excuse.

A couple of days ago my wife brings me home a double cheese, fries, and bowl of chili. We haven’t been here for a while but the food was surprisingly perfect. I guess there’s been a change. I normally don’t make reviews or take photos of food but here you go….yeah, it was the drive thru but, 5 stars all around.

Every time I come here it takes forever. They even forgot our order after telling us to pull in the front. So we sat for 20 minutes and then finally went inside then took another 15 minutes to receive the food.

Not sure if understaffed or just not caring. Restaurant was clean but devoid of life – there’s nothing on the tables, no human interaction. It’s like a museum of a diner now. Ordered at the kiosk, heard my name, cook gone from the counter in the few seconds it took to walk up. My order was wrong, but this model makes it not even worthwhile to try and correct that, so I admittedly did not. Final visit to a Steak ‘n Shake, like many.
