I can not describe in words how much I love this place . I have eaten here since a child since the movie theater was still open but now I find myself here at least once a week with my family . This place is one where we celebrate everything from graduations to birthdays and we will continue to go here . Always friendly staff and I hope this place stays open for ever and ever . Pollo villa 10/10 favorite thing on the menu . Theres a reason this place is always packed and love by all of hlp

Ordered the pollo alla parmigiana with tomato sauce and penne pasta.
It arrived with hidden beef under the cheese, in the sauce and caked on the chicken. There was no mention of this on the menu. The waiter said “ah you should have told me”. Was there some reason I should be saying “hold the secret beef on my chicken”? I do not consume cows. So I did not eat. They offered me no fix for this or discounted price. The total was $16.45.

Classic old school pasta and pizza place. Old vibes. Nothing fancy but really solid (except for the garlic bread). Pizza looked great. Will definitely be back to try.

A friend recommended this place so we were in the area and decided to give it a try. Service was great, very attentive. The food arrived promptly, hot and tasty. My wife and I enjoyed the side salad with mozzarella (mandatory), lasagna, and a pizza.

Folliero’s, one of the best, “ole school” Italian restaurants in Los Angeles.
Shop clean, plenty of men working , which makes the service great great!
Everything made from scratch, like grandma‘s kitchen when I was a little boy, lasagna, pizza, salad, garlic bread everything that we have is excellent-simply delicious – – –
Solid five stars ⭐️

Nice and cozy atmosphere, waited for an hour and a half to be seated. The staff was very attentive, and after seating us towards the back, do to occupancy, they offered us a new table in a more favorable spot. We ordered the following a pizza( well done flavorful), spaghetti with meat sauce(tasted fresh and sauce was fantastic) the cheese garlic bread( Great appetizer goes well with the spaghetti), the lemon chicken pasta( the chicken was delicious the pasta and sauce were average), the meatballs in red sauce were my favorite. The food was good. What I found amazing is that this place feels like you’re having dinner at home with friends. The price was jaw-dropping for the quality of food and service you get. It’s definitely affordable, I spent $57 for 5 people! Yeah, it’s worth the wait and allows you to leave a very nice tip for the staff. Which is how it should be. Loved the place, I would definitely recommend it to anyone out their looking for an affordable, friendly dining experience.

Follerio’s is a Highland Park classic. That being said I’ve only eaten here like 3 or 4 times in all my 27 years of living in HLP. Nevertheless it’s always been a solid place to bring the family, friends or to go on a date. We ordered 4 pizzas for a group of 12 and it was more than enough. We got the deluxe and pepperoni and it was very floppy and greasy. That being said it was good and had lots of flavor. I’ve also heard that they have really good pastas so I’ll have to try them some other time. Likewise I saw a dessert that had pistachio, chocolate and something else that looked interesting. Will have to remember to get that for next time. Overall it’s an affordable place to eat, a local staple and a great place to spend time with family or friends. Highly recommend.

My family has been coming here for about 50 years! The food is great and the staff will treat you well. They used to be cash only but recently upgraded and ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS now. It is a small restaurant and gets very busy so be prepared to wait a bit. Sometimes service may be a bit slow but I feel it’s worth it to be patient. The XL pizzas are a steal! Huge, hot, fresh and soft crust that you’ll want to finish. The meatballs and spaghetti is a classic you can’t go wrong with. The sandwiches are super fresh.
Oh parking can be a bit of a hassle as well. Paid parking is in back of the restaurant or you can park across the street at the bank after it closes.

So the spot I wanted to try was closed. Leading me to find an alternative spot. According to others this place was good for pizza. I got a med pizza with pep saus mush and gen peppers. Was cheesy like others have mentioned. But the edge crust took up a significant amount of each slice. Flavor wasn’t really there even with all the toppings. I also got talked into the spaghetti which was very disappointing. Sauce was sour and didn’t taste like meat sauce. I asked for extra sauce which my server told me I wasn’t gonna be charged. Yet still was but the hell with it. It’s the family recipe. I didn’t eat much. I was gonna give away or throw out my left overs. Ended up finishing the spaghetti later but regretted it. I think I’m done with food. It’s really hard to find anything good. Even the great family places are getting bland. But the customer service was excellent otherwise.

Normally top notch but this time I got screwed. I ordered a deluxe with no mushrooms but I got extra mushrooms and not enough of the other toppings. I don’t have an issue when I order on the phone but the online system was more convenient. Lesson learned, check your pizza before you walk out.
