Had dinner here not too long ago. We had the grand central burger and the union station burger both combo with fries. The fries were really good and the serving size of the burger and the fries were very generous! The service was great too with friendly staff! I had to take a star away due to the burger patties. While they were tasty I felt they were a bit on the firm/lean side. I think the mixture could use some more fat to make it more juicy. The burger buns were not warm either. Other than that the meal itself was very satisfying and the serving size is truly big! If you come here make sure you’re hungry so that you’ll finish all the food! The drinks are refillable and there are condiments like ketchup and mayo.

Burger Station nails the classic train station diner vibe, the atmosphere is straight out of a retro movie. The service was genuinely friendly and the fries were shockingly great; they were the saving grace of my meal.
Union Station Burger (4/10):
My excitement for the Union Station Burger was quickly derailed. The experience was defined by several critical flaws:
The Patty: Remarkably dry and noticeably unseasoned. It was the core disappointment of the dish.
The Buns: They desperately needed more toasting to provide structure and flavour contrast.
The Toppings: While generally okay, the quality control slipped with the inclusion of a tomato slice with the a poorly cut core– a small, but telling detail about kitchen oversight.
The place has immense potential. With a little more attention to flavour and quality control in the kitchen, this spot could be five-star. For now, it’s a scenic but flawed journey—come for the nostalgic setting and good service, but be prepared for inconsistent food.

On this visit, we enjoyed the crispy fish & chips, fresh Greek salad, and Grand Station burger with poutine. Was pleasantly surprised that the crispy fish was so meaty, and the Greek salad was delicious. It’s great to support this local burger joint – each time we stop by, the friendly service and tasty food is consistent. If you’re in the area and looking for a quick bite, must try!

It was my first time here and it was okay. It reminded me of Lick’s back in the day. I found it pretty expensive for what you get. It was pretty good going down, didn’t have the dive burger magic I was craving but it was a very decent burger. However it was not so great later on, let’s just say it did not settle well or exit peacefully.

Burgers and fries pretty good, cooked in front of you, lots of condiments to add to your burger, Alonso enjoyed the special seasoning for the fries. Staff are very nice and really super, i spilled my drink and they offered me a replacement. 9 years in business hopefully they stay for another 90! Will come back

I don’t eat fast food burgers, only independent spots that serve up a solid burger unique to them.
So I cruise Superburger and Champ Burger in the area.
A friend recommended the Burger Station east of Cookstown, so I headed over from Alliston.
I have to say, they have it down pretty darn well.
I had the Union Station Burger combo, fries and a shake.
The burger was excellent, I love the side of mayonnaise with the fries, which were quite good, and a solid chocolate milkshake.
The staff are very friendly and helpful as well.
Lots of seating and some cool train station art around the restaurant.
I’ll be back!
