Y’all- are you seeing this chicken?? A beautiful char, gorgeous, smoky sweet flavor… Moist pieces of meat, generously arranged on top of a bed of lettuce and delicious balls of rice… I’m not quite sure how they do it, but this is exactly what we needed as we start to escort in the spring’s rainy weather – a neighborhood spot for sure- love it. We can’t say enough about the food we ate at the Niceville location. This place was recommended to us by The Jackson Experience food truck, and it was the best all around food we ate during our Anniversary trip. Garlic chicken, teriyaki chicken, brown rice, grilled vegetables… EVERYTHING was amazing, and so was Hannah. We’re from Alabama, and are hoping that the Pensacola location will be just as good.

Been wanting to try for a while and finally did and this place lives up to everything we’ve been hearing. We got the chicken, double protein with the rice and macaroni salad (great recommendation from Addi who was working)YUM! We actually got some of the macaroni salad to go it was that good. The service was fantastic!! Addi went out of her way to give suggestions and helped get us everything we needed and coming by at the perfect time to help clear our plates when we were done. We will definitely be coming back. Also love the options of the Hawaiian juices. That was a hit for mom!

Absolutely love it! Simple, quick and very tasty! A limited menu with cracking combinations. Great value, two can easily eat for under $20 including a drink, tax and tip! Not many places can say that with these flavors! Highly recommend. The sit down experience is a little less impressive, but it is what it is. Would like to see them using more recyclable products.

The food was great, service was fast and friendly, and the decoration was on point for a Hawaiian grill. I came in with my wrestling team and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The man who helped us order came by and spoke with us he was super cool and told us about how he played rugby and how he spoke French which was a cool coincidence because my teammate speaks French as well. Overall the place is great and should definitely be something you try.

Food wise, we might be a little spoiled because we have eaten authentic food in Hawaii and were hoping this would be as good but it was disappointing in comparison. Teriyaki chicken was fatty and the pork wasn’t very flavorful. The brown rice was okay but the white rice was overcooked.
Service wise, they forgot to give us a drink we ordered and gave one person in our party the wrong sides.
Atmosphere wise, no complaints.

We visit Niceville occasionally and we always eat at Pounders. The food is excellent. The pork and the cabbage are my faves. It’s always refreshing to eat here when traveling. It feels like a nice home cooked meal. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. Make sure you try their cookies!! The chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie is my fave!!
