We did a online delivery order. They are always packed on a weekend and we knew our food would take awhile. The delivery driver was very nice. Food was okay. We ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and a buffalo chicken sandwich and fries. The fries were yummy. Burger had no flavor. The buffalo chicken had no spice at all but well cooked and the bun on was on was great. I will say most of the time the food is perfect.

Portion size is definitely country style, had the T-bone steak with side salad and broccoli. It has a delish sauce covering the steak I’d prefer on the side so one can see the grill marks on the steak, and broccoli was more than sufficient for a side. One issue I did have is that they allowed smoking indoors. With 2 cigarettes lit you could smell the smoke almost immediately.

We were in the area and was looking for somewhere to eat, preferably a place that served margaritas with your meal. I suggested Gibbys because there isn’t much to choose from in the area and I thought I had heard the food there was good. So we went, me with high hopes that we would find another place we could frequent when in this area. (A couple of times per month) they told us to seat ourselves and we chose the non smoking/restaurant side. I’m surprised to read others reviews after we got home, saying how speedy the service was but today idk what was up but we got bare minimum service. We waited quite a while to order our drinks and even longer to place our order. The food came in decent time but seemed forever after already waiting so long. Our server asked if we wanted ketchup and brought a near empty bottle. After that it really went downhill. Miss Jackie (89 yr old) wanted a 2nd drink and possibly water but we couldn’t order more because our server was no where to be found. Other workers came around but were busy with the register etc. We were so hungry that I forgot to take pics before we started to eat… but halfway through, one party member found a hair in his food and refused to finish his meal. (Philly steak) Miss Jackie and I were satisfied with our sandwiches (burger and Rueben ). I went outside for a moment while my party waited to try to get take home containers (leftovers for the dog). Upon returning, I found out that Ms Jackie had to walk up to the register to get containers. (It is her dog but did I mention she is 89?) at this point we just wanted to get out of there. No bill so we went to the register to square up. Ms Jackie decided to not leave a tip (I have never ever seen her not leave a tip out of all the times we’ve eaten out together-countless) and I didn’t get to hear everything but I think the server wasn’t happy with no tip because he asked if the other girls working there took care of us while he was busy elsewhere. At that moment, a lady brought it to my attention that we had left one container on our table. I explained to her it was empty and the plate of food there had a hair in the food, the person didn’t want to finish it nor take it. She did offer to reduce our bill but at that point it was already paid and we were leaving.
SO, much to my disappointment, I cannot recommend this establishment. We won’t be returning. (Sad face)

Food is always delicious. Service sometimes isn’t idea but it’s hard to keep good servers anymore. There are a few here that have been here forever that are always amazing when we dine in and they are there.
Atmosphere is astounding since they banned indoor smoking. What a great business move. We will be back more so than ever now.

My family and I love going to gibbys, usually awesome staff and food. We went Saturday night and as usual the food was good and waitress was nice. The issue is when we went to pay. There was 3 different people paying since it was a large group of us and the host was really annoyed. When our waitress walked over the host told her to deal with it and stormed off. I later heard about the same host giving the kids of our table stink eyes for playing the games by the front. Definitely soured a really nice meal.

I was born and raised in st clair. I’ve always loved gibbys until recently. I went in last night to pick up wings. $25 for 12 wings and threw part of them in the trash. I dont know if they were rotten or what but the bones were showing through them and they were so hard you couldn’t bite through them. I will ALWAYS support local businesses before any other but this makes it very difficult. I have photos of the bones showing through the wings but I dont know how to post them on here. So basically I paid $25 for 7 wings to eat and 5 that went to the trash. Not to mention…i paid and pre-tipped as i always do just to get home (1/4 mile away) and find the ranch in the container with the lid off upside down poured all over. Not to mention couple of the girls in there either dont like each other or just have bad attitudes. Doesnt help with a bad experience.

Updated review:Restaurant is now Smoke-free so we had dinner and my husband had the lasagna and enjoyed it. I ordered my supreme pizza with cauliflower crust and didn’t care for it but that’s on me.
We have had good food and just recently bad food. The last time we ordered for a large family group and the salad and pizzas were both very good. But today the salad was less than fresh and both pizzas were lukewarm.
We always get take out because they still have a smoking section.

Jess was amazing!! Super kind and was fantastic. The frisco melt was so good. I wouldn’t have tried this without Jess’ recommendation and it didn’t disappoint. Way better than Steak N Shakes frisco melt. Add some bacon to it if you like bacon burgers. The booths could use some updating. And there’s a smoking section for those that like that or don’t. But I noticed the other servers being super great with young kids. Bringing them quarters for the pinball machine and making it a fun experience for them. I would recommend Gibby’s and come back again. Thanks for the great service Jess!
