From Legal Sea Foods, Legal C Bar emerges, a focused yet full-flavored social urban venue, casual in style. Classic ‘C’ fare like clam, cod, crab and calamari as well as custom cocktails provides a contemporary, comfortable experience. Legal C Bar – Somerville takes its design direction from the early industrial development that occurred at Assembly Square. By using materials such as steel pipes, metal mesh, steel, concrete and brick, the space takes on an industrial feel reminiscent of the history. The expo kitchen serves as a backdrop to the restaurant, while the bar is the focus. Large garage doors allow for open air dining and entry to a riverside patio that’s topped by a 20′ tulip umbrella.

My wife and I were on vacation and friends suggested we eat at Legal Seafood Restaurant. We were near Somerville, Massachusetts, so we went there. Not a mistake, the food was delicious, the ambience was great and our server was the best. We really enjoyed our time spent and meal there. Highly recommend this place. We also got to go to the one on Boston Harbor and everything was just as good!

We all had great food with a group of 7. Three young kids and one of our entrees was missed somehow but came out quickly. The options for sides were endless. We took home a piece of key lime pie to go and it was so good with raspberry sauce on top. Also, the mango lemon drop martini was spot on! I would highly recommend this place for date night or family gathering.

My wife and I are visiting from out of town and wanted to try some good seafood. I tried the swordfish with the apple/pomegranate flavor and it was delicious! Our server, Tracy, was so kind and had really good recommendations. We also tried the Stuffies as an appetizer. We loved them! Would definitely recommend checking this place out.

The worst lobster roll ever!! It was so chewy and bland it literally had no flavor!!! The lobster bisque was disgusting. It tasted like baby throw up. When it was brought to me I could tell that it had been sitting for a while because it had a film on the top of it from when a soup gets cold. These items seemed like they should have been sold at a hospital cafeteria. The fries that came with the food were fantastic. The burger was also amazing but who can really mess up a burger. And the oysters were amazing but those came from God . The service was amazing!! I just wished the food reflected the service.

Was very disappointed in our experience. Service was very slow and inattentive, food overall mediocre at best despite the place not being busy. The appetizers were delicious, hence the 2 stars. We got mussles and a red sushi roll. Both I would absolutely recommend. By the time the soy sauce came out, we had already finished the rolls without it. Our main courses were only just okay, over priced for what it was. My sister got stuffed lobster tail, with one coming out undercooked. The clam chowder was on the saltier side – when it came out, the whole bowl almost slide off the plate onto our laps as the server was placing it down. Would not recommend this place for what they charge.
Edit: returned to try the lunch deals, good portion sizes and the main dishes were actually pretty good. Service better but again, not the most attentive. Muscle started was delicious, however had many shrunken muscles.

I love my server Ruben! I had the lobster bisque and the salmon Norwegian with roasted broccoli and herb rice pilaf with a glass of Tempranillo! The food was delicious my only regret was not ordering the larger size of the lobster bisque because it stole the show! I also took the Boston creme pie to go. I was so full I couldn’t finish but I had an Amazing experience highly recommend
