Had a great experience. The fish and chips was insanely good as were the chips(fries). Loved the onion rings. I didnt love the cheese curds as much as they weren’t the traditional north Midwest cheese curd..but as a whole everything we had was very very good. Will be back

This place used to be a charming spot with a great taplist. The food I ordered today was overpriced and low quality. New management has apparently ruined this once great spot. Take a look at the onion rings you get for $10. The batter falls right off. Same with the fish. The fries were undercooked. Tables were sticky and gross. I will never return.

We are done with GC. We have ordered takeout three times on the last six months, and each time was worse than the last. First pickup order was ok, cold but ok. Second pickup order they were out of several items like French fries. Third pickup ordered on DoorDash ($180) was confirmed, prepared and marked ‘ready for pickup’. Drove to the restaurant to find it closed because of equipment failure. They forgot to turn off DoorDash. It was a pain to get the refund back.
The manager did not return my call, I had to call and speak to a very non caring employee about the refund three days later. This place has gone down hill since new ownership. Manager doesn’t care to resolve major customer issues. Apology not offered by anyone.

Had a disappointing experience here on Friday, February 20th. We had booked the private room for my son’s wedding rehearsal dinner for 25 people. We only had 1 wait staff for our entire group and, unfortunately, although she tried to keep up, she struggled. The food was EXTREMELY slow in coming out of the kitchen and came out in shifts with some people not receiving theirs until 30 minutes after the first plates came out, and some of the “easier” dishes (salads, wraps) were the slowest to arrive. 🙁 Our guests were trying to be polite and didn’t want to eat in front of the others who did not yet have food but they were forced to either eat rudely in front of them OR allow their food to grow cold. Several people ordered the fish and chips and they only received 1 piece of fish, hardly a “full” meal for adults. They only had 1 beer list for 25 people to share, only 3 menus for 25 people to share, they ran out of beer glasses and we had to wait for ours to be rewashed before refills could be served. The waitress made excuses that the kitchen staff and wait staff were “fighting” because they weren’t used to being busy on a Friday night and that was the reason for the slow food…but honestly, I don’t care what the reason was, management should have dealt with the situation. We should NOT have been the ones to suffer for whatever drama was going on behind the scenes. The food was ok, although some was served barely warm, and the french fries were brought out randomly rather than served with the entre. Management never came out to apologize or inquire as to our experience. The waitress did kindly discount our meal and did apologize, but unfortunately, the whole experience kind of spoiled our event. While the venue might be ok for a casual dining experience for a family, couple or very small group I would be cautious in booking a large group event.

The place fell off big time. From a nice gastro pub to a dive. It’s living off its reputation from two years ago but it’s not the same place. Tired menu, things falling apart. All the old charm and good food are no more.

Graydon’s Crossing has been around for a number of years now, and I’ve always been happy with my visits there. This last time I tried their full English breakfast, which was delicious, but I remember having an Indian-Mexican fusion burrito there years ago. The food is great, and they have a decent selection of drinks too. It’s quite a charming pub. The service was fast and friendly, and it was easy to get in for lunch. I definitely hope to visit again in the future.

When we arrived the fryer was down, but we really wanted a good Guiness, so we sat and enjoyed that. Shortly after, our waitress said fryer was up and we ordered fish and chips and one friend ordered the onion rings he loves. My fish and chips were so good. Crunch on the outside, nice and flaky white inside. Though I didnt eat many of them, the French fries were seasoned really well. Will be returning!

Good pub with a nice burger and fries. Service was a bit lacking, though nice.

– Big Easy: Half pound standard burger ordered medium and got it medium. The burger was juicy and cooked the way I like it. The rest of the burger was fairly plain and not much else to write home about. The cheese was not melted much. I saw it had mustard and no ketchup, so I freaked and asked them for ketchup instead of mustard which they did.

I thought the burger was a little overpriced compared to the many of the other places I have visited in the area. If it were that good, I wouldn’t have a problem paying the price, but it was too plain to charge $16 and only get chips.

– Fries: I upgraded to the fries. They were again fairly plain, but done right. They are medium sized steak fries with a good fluffy center and medium softer outer skin. They stayed warm until the end and were cooked just right.

– Crispy Brussels Sprouts: WOAH! Powerful taste. There are several well balanced flavors that were nonetheless screaming for attention on this dish. I do like brussel sprouts and these were great, but a bit too much.

That said, the parmesan was added as large shavings rather than grated which gave a great texture. The bacon is always a nice touch. The sherry gastrique was very sweet and powerful. There was a sour flavor to it as well that hits you at first, but settles down as you become acquainted with the initial shock. I liked it and it is worth trying. You’ll have to be the judge, though. It is a unique flavor.

Not on the menu, but they have gluten free buns. Also, their Barnyard Burger was listed apart from the other burgers and I missed it. Their menu needs a bit of organization.

They also have Shepherd’s Pie. Maybe I’ll come back and try that some time.

They also list specials on their website. They are mostly drinks, though. I do see occasional specials for food listed on their Facebook page.

– Service: We were greeted at the door immediately and seated at a booth at our request. However, that is where it seemed to go downhill. We looked over our menu and were ready to order and waited a good while (it was NOT that busy). Finally, I ended up sticking my head into the isle and being served by someone who wouldn’t have served us otherwise. Waters were finally brought (though never refilled) and our orders were taken. When served, it did come in a timely fashion, though. Paying also took a while. We had the credit card on the table for a good 5 minutes or more waiting to pay.

BEWARE: The tip by default is 25% when paying by credit card. I didn’t notice until it was too late, especially since we were trying to get out as soon as possible since it was taking too long. I would NOT have tipped that much for our experience. Lesson learned.

– Atmosphere: The booths have hard wooden backs, but cushioned seats (a bit worn, but not bad at all). The wood is warn down I think on purpose. It gives it that old-world feel they boast of. I felt like we were in Ireland or Scotland. There is a decent amount of old-world decor and the main of the inside is dark wood. It was overall comfortable in spite of the wooden backs.

The music playing in the background was almost imperceptible. I could not hear it unless I really listened for it. Talking to my wife was not an issue and I appreciated that.

The bathrooms were a tad small, but were okay. My wife mentioned the women’s room was a bit unclean, but I didn’t think the men’s room was bad.

To call this place a “gastropub” (according to their Google Maps description) I think is a bit of a stretch. I think it is more of a pub with a slightly greater emphasis on the food than a pub. Maybe somewhere in the middle. I am guessing they have been around for almost 14 years (November 5, 2010 according to their Facebook page).

Visited on a Friday night 7-8 PM. It was not terribly busy for a Friday and there were plenty of staff on hand from what I saw. Even a couple of the cooks came out for a few minutes.

Went today for my husbands birthday. He had to fix the chair he sat in. Our Bloody Marys had no condiments with it but the other table that came in for eggs benedict did? Shameful. Handed the wrong menus on sit down. Parking lot empty. I don’t want to listen to crap music when it’s a pub that isn’t what it used to be. Shameful. First time walking out without tipping. But I am not tipping for crap service and a chair that isn’t doing its job that was fixed by a customer. (Be observant and see what is happening, you had no customers. Rather obvious situation) just avoid it. Go to other local places until management/ownership changes.
