My favorite place disappointed me yesterday. I’ve been eating at this restaurant countless times for years.
Yesterday was a horrible experience as you can see in the pictures, burnt tortillas, nachos seems like they were leftovers from a week couldn’t be eaten and my special of the day wasn’t any better.
I was there last Sunday morning for a menudo and it was delicious.

If you want Mexican food, you gotta come here. As a tourist for me it couldn‘t get any more authentic and delicious
Also the price is more than reasonable. Had to come back for a second time on our tour through Texas.

Great food for the price.. The food here is really good, the tortillas are fresh made, and the service is great.. Pricing is also very reasonable, if not underpriced.. The chiles rellenos are my recommendation.. You walk in and seat yourself, then pay at the counter by letting them know what table you sat at.. Overall a very chill place to have Mexican food

I ordered ground beef tacos here and unfortunately the meat was undercooked and still red inside. Instead of apologizing or trying to make it right, I was told I was lying and that ‘they checked and it looked cooked. Undercooked meat is a serious health risk, and the way this was handled showed a lack of care for customers. I won’t be returning and hope they take food safety more seriously moving forward.

Food is always amazing but as per usual the service needs some major help. Waitresses are all over the place, have to flag whoever you can for lemons or more napkins. God forbid you need a refill, the exasperated expressions and sighs they make are so obvious to the customer especially the dark haired middle aged waitress.

Ample portions for a reasonable price, but bland in taste and appearance. Good in-house flour tortillas! Service was below standard from the waitress and the cashier. The cashier stopped to exchange texts with someone while checking us out. She did not greet us or look at us. Waitress never asked if we wanted more drinks. This was at 1PM, and the restaurant was not busy on a Tuesday. Not impressed. The Tipico’s in Dallas is the one to go to for good food and service. This one should change the name or get a new manager.

I got the caldo de res which came with warm fresh tortillas, a good portion of rice, and a lemon on the side! The caldo was delicious and very filling. Just about every person here ordered a bowl of caldo and everyone seemed just as pleased as me. The service was lovely and the restaurant played classic Mexican music. This spot is definitely more of an authentic Mexican restaurant, which I loved!
Side note: the salsa was AMAZING!
