We celebrated our anniversary here, looking for a cozy and intimate dinner spot, and it turned out to be perfect. We started the evening with drinks that set the mood beautifully. The ambiance was warm and inviting that is just right for a romantic night out.

We ordered chicken momos and Drums of Heaven, both packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The highlight was the matka biryani so beautifully presented that I forgot to take a picture because we were completely lost in the moment! It was rich, aromatic, and full of authentic Indian spices. What truly made the evening unforgettable was the exceptional service. The staff was attentive, kind, and consistently checked in to make sure everything was perfect. Their warmth and hospitality added such a special touch to our celebration. Thanks to the wonderful team, we had an amazingly beautiful anniversary evening and can’t wait to return.

Chutney’s in Bellevue totally hit the spot! My wife and I started with the Manchow Soup-just the right amount of spice and tang, super flavorful. Then came the Vegetarian Biryani, served in a handi sealed with naan to keep it hot and aromatic. It was absolutely delicious. Big shoutout to Hira, the Maitre D’, he was friendly, attentive, and clearly loves what he does. The whole staff made us feel right at home. Great food, great vibes, we will definitely be back!

My wife and I tried Chutney’s and the food was honestly delicious. The butter chicken was super creamy and the lamb biryani had great flavor and tender meat. I only wish they let you pick a spice level when ordering. Everything we had was on the higher end of the spicy scale. If you love a serious kick, then it will be perfect for you!

Shebab E Kabab was definitely not worth the $40 — the meat didn’t taste fresh and was quite bland. The Lasoni Gobi also seemed undercooked, as the flour tasted raw. However, the biryani, butter chicken, lamb, and roti were all very good. My favorite was the biryani!
We were a family of six, and unfortunately the food did not come out at the same time. We were hoping to enjoy our dinner together. It was also extremely hot inside.you may want to adjust the temperature for guests’ comfort.
That said, we absolutely loved our server, Sally — she was wonderful!

“Overpriced Hype, Underwhelming Taste.”

I visited Chutneys last evening and honestly, I was quite disappointed with the overall experience. While the staff was friendly and attentive (service deserves 4/5), the food and drinks did not live up to the hype or pricing. Here’s my breakdown:
• Kadak Chai – I specifically asked if they had good chai and ordered it with high expectations. Unfortunately, it was not good at all. Rating: 1/5
• Amritsari Fish (Starter) – Did not meet expectations; lacked taste and freshness. Rating: 0.5/5
• Palak Paneer – The gravy was decent, but the paneer was hard and chewy, which spoiled the dish. Rating: 2.5/5
• Mumbai Cha Kolhapuri Chicken – An average dish at best. Rating: 2.5/5
• Tandoori Roti – Extremely hard, almost painful to chew, and we had to leave it halfway. Rating: 0/5
• Pesto Naan – Felt like plain naan with pesto smeared on top after baking; very disappointing. Rating: 0.5/5
• Garlic Naan – Slightly better but still too chewy. Rating: 2/5

Overall Rating: 0.5/5
This place feels overrated and overpriced. While the staff will enthusiastically promote their food and make you feel welcomed, the actual taste and quality are nowhere close to the claims. Definitely not worth the hype.

I am from Lucknow, a city famous for its tunde ke kebab. So when I tell you the galouti kebab are a must try here and they will melt in your mouth with a burst of flavors, you got to trust me. Order rumali roti to go with it and enjoy. I will keep coming back just for this combo. Very soft, thin and perfect rumali roti. Their matka chicken biryani had a lot of good reviews but it was decent, not wow. I had to add a lot of salt to start liking it and also some black pepper. It’s good, in fact it tasted better in take away but not something I would come back for. Koliwada prawns are good too, very well cooked prawns and they will melt in your mouth as well but it was a bit on the oily side though the besan batter had flavors.

Reservation recommended.
Friday night has live music until 10pm I think.
It’s an expensive place for sure, ~$50 per person

I recently visited Chutneys Restaurant in Bellevue. The snacks were quite good and enjoyable, but the main course was just okay and didn’t really meet my expectations. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and provided great service, which was definitely a positive part of the experience.

However, I felt the prices were a bit high for the quality and portion sizes offered, and overall it didn’t feel fully worth the cost. The dishes were decent, but nothing stood out as memorable. Overall, it was an okay experience.

We have come as a team for dinner. I really liked the non veg platter. Drums of heaven was okay. Baby corn was average. Samosa was good. Couple of dishes were ordered.

Atmosphere was so noisy.
Food presentation was so nice.

We had dinner while listening to Hindi songs, which created a pleasant atmosphere. The table was beautifully set with dim lighting, small decorative lights, and elegant blue glasses. The food was presented in a unique way, adding to the experience, and it tasted delicious. The staff was also attentive and provided excellent service.

I actually really liked the experience and food itself, my only comments are the pani puri comes with way more of the toppings and not enough of the actual pani puri crackers (you get like 5) and the naan was pretty dry. Everything else was great tho we got the palak paneer, lamb biryani, and chicken tikka masala which we quite enjoyed.
