Every detail, from the service to the meal, was executed with care and excellence. Perfectly cooked steak/lamb chops, rich flavors, and classic service. This is the kind of experience we will remember for a long time, and we can’t wait to return next year. Tracey (Manager) you are doing a wonderful job with this location.
Thank you all for making my husband’s birthday dinner memorable.
For dessert, we tried the Chocolate Sin Cake. While it was definitely a calorie bomb, it was absolutely delicious. Overall, the quality of food and service made it well worth the price, and I left feeling very satisfied.
Management was equally impressive. Eva and Traci were present, professional, and clearly attentive to both guests and staff, which elevated the overall experience.
A great way to begin the year, and we look forward to returning.
Their appetizers were also great—we ordered the Caesar salad and the calamari, both of which were tasty and well-prepared. The mashed potatoes were excellent, and the lobster mac and cheese was rich and flavorful.
Our server provided outstanding service from start to finish. Overall, I’d give this place a 10/10 and highly recommend it!
The food was absolutely amazing, perfectly prepared and everything we hoped it would be. Our server, David, was attentive, kind, and professional. The service once we were seated was truly excellent.
However, the experience at the host stand left us feeling disappointed and uncomfortable.
The restaurant opens at 4 PM, and we were the first guests in line so we could enjoy happy hour at the bar.
When we approached the hostess, she asked how many were in our party. I told her there were four of us and that we would like to be seated in the bar for happy hour. Instead of seating us, with an entirely empty bar and dining room, she asked us to step aside so she could help other guests and said she needed to check with a manager.
This was confusing, as we were first in line and there was plenty of open seating.
Shortly after, a gentleman behind us asked for a single seat at the bar and was immediately told to go ahead and sit down at the end of the bar.
A larger local family was also promptly seated in the dining room.
We were still waiting without a clear explanation.
When I inquired again, I was told to “have a seat” and that she would be with us shortly.
Meanwhile, another group walked into the bar area, moved chairs around, and seated themselves without issue.
After several minutes, the hostess returned and said she would push two tables together for us and seat us.
While I understand that restaurants have policies and procedures, the lack of communication and the inconsistent handling of guests left us feeling overlooked and, quite honestly, discriminated against.
As island residents who were first in line, it was disheartening to feel as though we were being treated differently without explanation.
Once seated, our experience improved significantly thanks to David and the wonderful food. However, first impressions matter, and this one unfortunately missed the mark!
I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as Ruth’s Chris is a beautiful restaurant with excellent cuisine and service once you are at the table….
