Went with a group of nine coworkers on a Friday night around 7 PM. I put us on the waitlist earlier in the day (important to note they don’t take reservations—only waitlists), and while the waitlist doesn’t guarantee an exact seating time, we were seated within about 10–15 minutes of our quoted time, which was great considering how packed it was. The place was completely full—every seat, every corner—super lively and energetic.
The atmosphere was definitely the highlight. There was line dancing, lots of energy, and one of my coworkers was celebrating his birthday. The staff came over, sang, and did a whole line dance moment for him, which was really fun and something we all enjoyed.
As for the food, it was just mediocre. We ordered a variety of dishes, and overall nothing really stood out as amazing. It wasn’t bad, just not “wow.” That said, the rolls were good, and they were generous with refills—the more we asked, the more we got, which we appreciated.
Overall, it was a solid four-star experience. The atmosphere and fun vibe really make up for the food. Just don’t go in expecting the food to be out-of-this-world delicious, and you’ll likely enjoy yourself.

What can I say, always amazing. Went on Friday evening and the wait time was lengthy. Don’t forget you can check in virtually on their website to limit the time you wait outside the restaurant. Our wait was 40 minutes in total, but only 5 minutes outside. As we were leaving heard someone super frustrated as the wait time was up to 1 hour 40 minutes.
As for the food, amazing. Super delicious and and atmosphere was electric. Our server was great, super attentive and friendly.

Outstanding Service by Nayely – Night Manager
I had an exceptional experience at Texas Roadhouse in San Diego thanks to Nayely, the night manager. Even though I was dining by myself, she made me feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of from the moment I sat down.
She came by my table to check on me, and when I mentioned that my steak looked well done even though I had ordered it medium, she immediately acknowledged it. Without any hesitation, she said, “We’ll make it right for you.” She took the plate and shortly after returned with a freshly made perfectly cooked medium steak — and it was absolutely delicious. That showed real attention to detail and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
I’m a frequent Texas Roadhouse customer and visit locations in different states. I live in Houston, Texas, and I know the brand very well — but this experience in San Diego truly stood out. Moments like this are why I keep coming back: because of people like Nayely who care about their guests and take pride in what they do.
Management should be proud to have her. She represents exactly what great leadership and quality service should look like. I hope she gets the recognition she truly deserves.

Had an excellent dining experience here! The steaks were perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor, and the sides were fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was warm and lively, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. Our server was very friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. Everything was on point—highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back!

My first time at this restaurant was to celebrate my birthday. The wait time was a bit long, but the food was very tasty. Usually, most restaurants offer a complimentary dessert and have some of the waiters sing “Happy Birthday,” which I think is a great gesture, but they don’t do that here. Nevertheless, it’s a good place to enjoy a delicious steak.

Went here for a late dinner, 1 hour before closing, we got the onion cluster, and ribs and steak with mac and cheese and steak fries as sides.
Prices were good and food was juicy and tasty our favorite was the ribs.

Not the Roadhouse we’ve come to know and love. Salad was good but entrés were “meh”. Ribeye was flavored with something I couldn’t place and didn’t care for and had clumps of fat bounded by gristle. Potato was dry and flavorless–sour cream and butter didn’t help. Bread was attended by cinnamon-flacired butter whick I don’t care for. Wife’s ribs were “only okay” by her assessment–over-boiled and dry. Service was sub-par as well. Orders came with potatos reversed (loaded vs butter and sour cream). Had to wait for server to bring the bill to order a carry-out which was delivered some 15 mins later sans salad which was supposed to be included. Music was cowpaddy kickin’ hick and very loud. We’ll go back to the Roadhouse in Broomfield, CO and Altamonte Springs, FL, but not this one. “One and done”–give it a miss.

My server Vee was/is INCREDIBLE!!! She has so much fun positive energy – 10/10
The mashed potatoes are so good and the sweet potatoes loaded is basically dessert it’s so good! I got the steak med. Rare and it actually came med. Rare!!!
And omigosh they LINE dance! V was right in there Killin it! Kinda put the others to shame lol. Will be back soon! Gona try the grilled BBQ chicken next as recommended by V

Tried the smokehouse burger and OMG SO good!!! Might even rival the steak!!
I had it with a peach fuzz cocktail but apparently there’s a fancy one called – The Legend-
Goals for next time – maybe when I’m not driving or plan to stay longer 🙂
Also shout out to the managers! Had a tiny issue with the table I was seated at and they moved me right away but kept me with my fav server V – even tho it was a larger table and just me. Thank you!!!!

I would love to come to this spot more regularly. I like sitting at the bar to check out sports but the service is weird and not good. I don’t understand it. I’ll admit when this place first opened up everyone was on point but up to this point there must be some service fatigue. Ordered a steak meal with a beer and once I was finishing up the bartender that took my order must have taken a break and the second bartender covering the bar didn’t offer anything ONCE. Once the initial bartender made it back to the bar a manager came into the bar and made her way me and asked me how I was doing good or if I wanted anything. I ordered another drink and a shot. I thought “Cool” she started pouring a beer 3/4 of the way stopped to let the head die down and proceeded to start sending a message on her watch. It’s a weird sight when she could have done that after pouring and serving a beer. It didn’t take her 15 minutes or anything so Im not trying to exaggerate but weird to witness. I got my beer a few minutes after I ordered (the pictures posted how busy the bar was). She then walked over to the tequila bottle while talking to her bartenders, and then continued to talk some more with bottle in hand….then with jigger in hand. Weird and annoying to watch. I had to stand up and go to the restroom and as I walked back she was still holding everything. A good 5+ minutes after the beer was served.
I don’t have the highest of expectations for a bar service in general because it can definitely be shaky depending where you go. This is just really annoying to witness when it workers and then a manager. No smiles or eye contact just drop the drink and go.
Food is great as usual for me. I got my food and enjoyed that.

Love their ribeye, with a salad and loaded baked potato. Never disappoints, tender juicy meat, fresh salad, awesome potato; their bread is amazing with that cinnamon spread. Great price for great flavor. The service always great, my only complaint is the noise, the music is way to loud and everybody need to yell so its a super noisy place, I get that is the road house experience but its a restaurant no need to take it so literal.
