I went for lunch on Saturday & the service was fast & attentive throughout. The restaurant was clean. Chips & salsa was immediately served & the drink order was taken. Food was cooked fresh when ordered & was steaming hot. Everything was wonderful. The beef in the street taco was tender & a flavorful marination. The Hawaiian fajitas was unique but good. Chicken, peppers, onions, shrimp & pineapple.

Great Food and Service but Payment and Billing System Needs an Update.

Mi Viejo is one of the only good restaurants in the Carrollton area aside from the fast food restaurants in the area, Whenever I’m in the Carrollton area I eat here at least once. So far on my visits, the food has been great and the service has been pretty good too. The only issue I face is when I have to get an itemized receipt for business expenses. On my last visit, I asked for an itemized receipt right when I sat down and the server came over. The server assured me that he could do it as I have had this issue on all of my previous visits. Once I ate my delicious perfectly made meal, I again asked for an itemized receipt. The server disappeared for over ten minutes and I had to go to the counter. At the counter they gave me a tiny receipt to show I paid and tipped but no itemized receipt. Again the person at the counter disappeared for another ten minutes as I guess they thought I would just go away. Finally, a manager came out and redid my whole bill and gave me a printed receipt with separate charges for what I ordered but no item description. I guess this is the best that they can do. I do recommend they modernize their POS as since there are several industries in the area, I can’t be the only person who has to submit receipts for business expenses. Aside from these ongoing issues, the food is always on point and servers do the best they can.

Food was fabulous! Hot, fresh very authentic and full of flavor. Waiter was on point and they had the UK -TN game on so it was pleasant to eat and watch the game. Highly recommend!

The best Mexican resteraunt we have ever been to! We also love the buffet. I just hope it reopens in Madison Indiana at their location. Great service and great food!

I wish you could rank specific things, every time I eat here it is amazing. The people the food everything as for carry out, i would not suggest it. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU LEAVE!
This is the third time I have had something wrong with my order and I live an hour away so getting a quick fix or replacement is out of the question. They’ve been better about it so I didnt think to check my order now Im home and missing 2 things. Thanks again.

Overall this was a pretty good restaurant. We got the buffet and really enjoy it. the rice with queso on top was unbelievably awesome! The waiters were really nice, the restaurant was really clean, and the bathrooms were amazing. My only complaint or should I say room for improvement would be to make homemade chips not store-bought and homemade salsa not store-bought and homemade tortillas not store bought.
