Cazuelas Mexican Cantina is not a restaurant, it’s a full experience. The food was so good I went silent for a minute like my brain had to reboot. The fajitas came out sizzling like they were mad at the plate, and everything tasted fresh, hot, and dangerously delicious. I swear the salsa lowered my blood pressure.
Now the main event: our server Apple. Apple didn’t “wait” on us, Apple ran our table like a five star general of customer service. Drinks stayed topped off, chips kept respawning like a video game, and Apple somehow handled our chaotic, indecisive crew with zero stress and actual humor. At no point did Apple make the face we deserved, which is true professionalism.
Give Apple a raise, a trophy, and maybe keys to the building. We’re definitely coming back, and I’m requesting Apple like it’s a VIP ticket.

Stopped in to see how if we found a new regular spot- we have not! The lunch portion fajitas were good and a good portion.
The chicken tenders and fries caused me angst.
They charge a $4 up charge for anyone over 12 getting the same portion of food- this always blows me away. I asked the server and he told me he would ring it at the 7.95 under 12 price. I told him we were prepared to leave as I wasn’t paying $4 more since they didn’t offer a hi Ken tenders appetizer for my son who doesn’t enjoy Mexican fare. We could have and should have just left, but he confidently indicated it was not big deal, “I got you”. We ordered and enjoyed some of the chips and salsa provided. We also had water to drink.
When they brought the chicken tenders and fries I was suprised by what I saw. They literally cut a tender in half and we got 2 chicken tenders and fries, and as you can see from the inside, little chicken inside. my mind was blown we laughed and decided to just eat and we could grab my son something in the way home if he was still hungry.
Then the bill came and the server didn’t have me, as you can see it was charged as the price with $4 more. After a long discussion with him (he tried to say maybe it was the service fee that was different 3% service charge for using a credit card! I explained that the record shows the cost of $4 more and 3% of $100 would only be $3 so that couldn’t be it…the manager came over and he explained the policy and how he doesn’t set prices. I explained that I understood, but we were going to leave until the server told us he would just charge the $7.95.
The manager didn’t know how to refund the bill to correct, had to call someone, ended up reprinting the record and took my card again. The server came over and said he did it right, must have been the POS…um no – the machine doesn’t know how old someone is…
Just own it dude. Ultimately, I am waiting to see when the credit occurs, they did not provide me with a credit slip and there are 2 charges on my credit card as of today.
I don’t think we will be back.

I came here expecting halfway decent food. I was completely disappointed. First off, catsup is NOT “Chipotle sauce”. Secondly, flank steak really shouldn’t be rubbery. And, pretty much everything was under seasoned. I won’t even mention the screaming college girls at the next table. It’s a college place, I get it. But… what happened to the FOOD?

I’ve been to Cazualas many times and the food is always absolutely fantastic. It’s what keeps me coming back.
Unfortunately what keeps me from coming is how terrible the service is here consistently. Most of the time is pretty standard, but some days (when they aren’t even busy) it takes 10-15 minutes to find our waiter/waitress. I had to ask 3 different servers for our checks the last time we came in. There seems to be a heavy focus on to-go orders so maybe I should try that instead since the food is very good.

Spent a few hours here while our kids were at a concert down the street. Great service! Mathias was awesome! We both got Chimichangas and they were delicious! I was very happy with all the vegetarian options and their willingness to modify ingredients! The plantains were so good! Great chips n salsa and queso! We would definitely return.

The girl that sat us was a hostess and server. Getting our drinks and chips and salsa was quick but we were forgotten for 40 minutes and the server never came to check on us server was just talking at bar or talking with coworker and there weren’t even that many people we came before the busy rush, server had a larger party of guys that came in later than us and sat right next to us who ordered and got their food before we ordered. We had to let the guy serving chips and the lady walking around know that we were waiting to order, they said they will get our server but that took another 10 minutes. Drinks were good chips were good. Friend asked for rice and beans with meal but didn’t get it when they brought it out. Food was ok not enough sauce. Need better organization for service.

I came here several times. It is a great Mexican restaurant with crazy vibe and a decent patio. But I am pretty sure that their best item is the free corn chips and salsa. Chips are crispy and salsa tastes perfectly sweet and little spicy. However, the other items, like tacos, fajitas, or stewed pot, are mediocre.

Great place with good outdoor seating. Numerous drinks to try to enjoy with some Mexican food. The house special drink is an interesting tequila combination served in a bowl which is worth a try. Personally I enjoy the chimichanga which was excellent. Spacious outdoor seating and I believe they do have indoor seating as well but haven’t tried it. Service was fast and food was fast as well. The salsa offered with the chips was great. A variety of menu options to try but some are more better than others based on what’s put in them.

Really good food. Sat outside on the patio. It was a little bit chilly and there are no heaters outside. But it was beautiful and the Ambiance was really nice. There were pretty string lights and lots of artistic details in the building and furniture to be looked at. I had the Birria tacos and split a pitcher of margaritas they were both delicious also had the queso super yummy as well. There was one experience in the past at the same location where there was a cockroach on the table (see photos) but I sent a message via Instagram to management and nothing has happened since then. I’m not even sure if it’s been fully reported or if management is really aware. Pros and cons for sure. Great happy hour deals every week night though.
