I had such a great time at Mellow Mushroom in Athens! Their stone-baked pizzas are delicious and full of flavor — with fun creative options like specialty pies, build-your-own calzones, and hearty salads. Great spot to watch the NFL playoff game. Affordable pitchers of beer (Sam Adams Octoberfest was our choice). My son is vegan and they have a nice option for non-dairy cheese on their veggie pizza.

I’m at Mellow Mushroom in Athens and the service is awful although food is good. They clearly don’t follow a first-come, first-served policy. We’ve been sitting here waiting forever while people who came after us already got their food. It honestly feels like we were completely forgotten. Definitely a one-star service.

We’ve avoided Mellow Mushroom for just a few years bc our last experience was terribleeeee. Today they were one of the few restaurants open in the ice so we went. Tyler was the bartender. His service was AWESOME! Very polite, very attentive. He was working the entire time but didn’t hesitate to continue checking on us, even after we had already paid. We’ll be back sooner rather than later this time and hope that he can be our bartender/server again!

1st time at a Mellow Mushroom…. not bad, not that great either. IDK I’m 50+ so, I guess you got to be younger to get the vibe….
Stopped in before a concert at the classic center for bite. No wait, friendly and nice staff. Drinks and food were somewhat quick and correct.
IDK, the pies were just kinda mundane and bland… cooked correct and loaded with toppings. They both just tasted like a grocery store offering was my honest opinion.

I catered an event for my sorority council meeting and had a wonderful experience. I was able to call ahead, gauge the right number of pizzas/salads to feed my group and pick up my order with ease. I would highly recommend catering for your next event!

Enjoyed the tasty pizza here at Mello Mushrooms. A lot of menu choices, even gluten free and plant based pizzas which is a plus for me. The service was great, attentive & accommodating. We came here on a Monday for lunch so it wasn’t very crowded. The restaurant is quite large, however, the bathroom was closed off due to construction. Ordered the House Special, Holy Shiitake and 1 topping pizza with cheese and pepperoni. Pizzas were flavorful and delicious. I would definitely come back again.

I realized after leaving that I had lost my wallet, and I was completely stressed. When I came back to the restaurant, A COUPLE DAYS LATER (yes, I know, don’t judge me), the team had it!
Not only is the food always great, but the service went above and beyond when I needed it most. It says a lot about a place when its staff shows that level of honesty and care.
Huge thank you to everyone working today (especially the waitress with the gold necklace with a circular charm that has “m” on it) for turning a stressful situation into a positive one.

I had my daughter pick up a large Mighty Meat with EXTA Garlic and bring it to me. What a disappointment!!! Pretty sure that this is a stretched out medium dough that is not risen all the way. The crust was dense and tough because of this and so thin that the few toppings that were on the pizza weighed it down and wouldn’t support what little was there. This is the second time that I have been highly disappointed with the Athens location. We will be looking for another spot to purchase pizza. $30 for this pie was $15 too much. I could of gotten better takeout from Papa John’s ::
Oh yeah and NO GARLIC anywhere except the buttered crust.
