ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The family who own the restaurant are so kind and gracious, and their food is outstanding. Literally brought a tear to my eye. I got the fried chicken, Mac n cheese, greens, dirty rice with gravy, and cornbread. Every single aspect was 10/10: the food, service, and the fun ambiance/music. And check out the portion! Not shown is the mountain of rice under the chicken! This restaurant will absolutely be in my rotation

Wifey and I have been trying to catch the Soul Food day but as you know, as soon as they open it’s packed like how they packed the food to go. Today was are first time trying Mangos and we made sure we came when they open to kick start my wife’s birthday. Right from the start of walking in, the staff were amazing and greeting immediately when walking in. Location was really clean and the had the chunes playing making it a vibe as you wait to get your order. S/O to Diana who was the extremely nice and made sure we were good with our order. I can’t express enough about the customer service. The customer service matches the food. The food was so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t even want to go in to details because it still wouldn’t do no justice. Cornbread is on another level, oxtails were pack with flavor and so tender ……. Just pull up and find out. S/O to Mangos, I can’t express how thankful we are for the experience. Can’t wait to go back on Caribbean day.

We visited on a Sunday morning and it was already packed when we got there. The staff is super friendly. I got southern fried catfish which is prepared fresh so we did have to wait. It was worth the wait. All the food was amazing and the cornbread…so good. A must try is the Sunset punch. Thank me later. When I go back I’m definitely trying the shrimp. That looked amazing. It is a small place so do not expect to dine in.

Drove 40 minutes to try this out.. 10/10 food and service experience. I had 3 orders of an oxtail plate for pick up and it was a wait for it but only because the food kept having to be restocked — meaning fresh trays of food in rotation!! The food definitely tasted super fresh and well seasoned. While waiting, the workers were so sweet and personable. I really enjoyed my time there even with me placing an online pick up order. Also the portions they give made the price worth it. Might have to share a plate next time since it was enough to eat 2 1/2 times!

Let me start by saying, WOW! We came into the restaurant for takeout on a Thursday afternoon around 3pm. Lunch was over so I assumed it wouldnt be busy. Im heavily pregnant so was a little put off by the line but I needed to try this Caribbean food. I’ve eaten in alot of Caribbean restaurants in the Tampa area and they just weren’t a fit for me. When I got to the counter I was greeted so warm & kind it washed away the wait time. I then asked for oxtails and sadly it finished on the order right before me, I swapped to a small Jerk chicken and small curry chicken, we also got the pineapple drink and ice tea. The food? 1000/10 with no exaggeration I am also Caribbean and have been searching for this flavor in Tampa for so long! This is a unique Caribbean flavor, it wasnt salty (a lot of people confuse salt with seasoning), it was expertly seasoned. I also despise when they put too much oil in the food and this didnt have that oil puddle. I wasnt charged EXTRA for oxtail sauce on my jerk chicken it was offered which I truly appreciate. The food wasnt too spicy my boys 7 & 6 years old were able to eat it and rated it “on my favorites list”. I did let the staff know it was my first time and because I ordered the oxtails first but it was sold out she gave me some the bits in the tray to taste, that was also sensational. Our total (family of 4) was just under $40 for 2 meals & 2 drinks which is fairly priced to the quality of food. After a 40 mins drive to get here my only regret is that I didnt get two more plates for later. I will definitely be back.

Mangoes is the best Caribbean soul food I’ve had on the east coast. Flew down to Tampa from Baltimore Maryland to visit relatives was led to mangoes Café and specialty store and it came highly recommended and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to meet Diane and Marie. The best hostess gave us perfect customer service. If you ever need to teach someone about customer service these two ladies can demonstrate what grade A customer service looks like excellent. Excellent excellent excellent.

I love love loveee this place! I go here so much and only managed to grab these 2 photos from 2 separate visits because I immediately dig in! The food is delicious! The staff has gotten to recognize me now and I love that for me lol. You can’t go wrong with anything from here and they have vegan options. The garlic herb salmon, oxtails, red snapper, plantains are my chef’s kiss favorites. Also don’t forget your punch and cake! So yummy too!

CLEAN, nice, cozy, and very friendly atmosphere! The food is DELICIOUS and the portions are HUGE! I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and looking forward to coming back! Oh, and I got oxtails! HAMMERCY!!!
