Overall a nice experience. Great venue and space. Very nice service, especially from the woman who was the head waitress on the evening (11 Oct 2025). We saw her pretty much running the place. We had the antipasto platter (5/10 – the liver paté was warm which was quite weird for us, one of the meat sliced was a bit tough), my wife had the lamb (9/10 – closest thing to Australian lamb. A 10 would have been for a lamb rack instead of lamb chops (a cheaper cut)), I had a sliced beef filet with porcini mushrooms (7/10 – cutting could be thinner, a tad more seasoned, a tad more butter, mushrooms were very “wet” and a tad slimming while still tasting nice).

Stumbled in to this beautiful ristorante after our first two choices were closed. We did absolutely no research but the menu posted on the outside looked great and after peeking inside the front door it looked clean and upscale. The waitstaff were so very kind and accommodating since we didn’t have a reservation. We were seated promptly.
I had planned my evening with a steak florentine in mind and let me say, Il Volo blew through my expectations! Hands down the BEST steak I’ve ever eaten. I’ve never seen my husband quiet with utter food pleasure until this evening! I’m fairly certain I was making noises of enjoyment! You are able to chose your meat cut and weight ahead of time. It was cooked absolutely perfectly! We paired with a lovely and reasonably priced Chianti. We ordered the Chianini Florentino and had a salad to share. More than enough for two! All in it was $180 euro for both of us which included the $45 bottle of wine.
We highly recommend this ristorante for the quality, service, beautiful interior and reasonable pricing!!

We absolutely loved the ambiance and delicious dishes at this lovely restaurant.
Service was top notch and we dined there twice while staying in Florence. The waiter remembered us 2 weeks after we dined there the first time, we were impressed. Wine was fantastic and dessert yum.

Today we tried an amazing steak, the meat was super juicy and tender, truly one of the best we’ve had. The pasta was also delicious, creamy and cheesy. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. I 100% recommend this place!

Absolutely phenomenal. Service was awesome pasta was terrific, soo flavorful & light. I believe I got the- Tagliatelle alla norcina which was Tagliatelle pasta with tuscan sausage and cheese cream. It had truffles all over it tooo! YUM!! Lemon sorbet was the best I’ve ever had. Would recommend 100% & would love to go back!

We visited this restaurant and were truly impressed. The food was delicious, with every dish prepared with care and great attention to detail. The place was beautiful, creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a meal. The service was very polite and always ready to assist. Everyone working there was genuinely hospitable, making the overall experience very pleasant. Highly recommended!

We were staying at a hotel close by and were looking for a restaurant nearby for dinner with two friends. We stumbled over Il Volo in google and took our chances. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and were shown to a lovely table. Cosy chairs, comfortable lighting and relaxing music was playing. The atmosphere was perfect and it is decorated with an eye for comfort and taste.
The menu wasn’t too big and we were impressed by the quality and taste.
The service was very attentive but not hovering. We loved it so much that we returned the next day for lunch and dinner.
Highly recommend!

I reserved a table for 10 for my graduation dinner here. The most impressive part is the interiors of the restaurant. It was such a nice experience from the start. Just walking inside also feels magical. We were truly served well and the staff were excellent. The food is delicious as well. Complimenti tutti. They accepted our reservation with a nice response and were very helpful all around. True Italian dining experience!

A very nice restaurant with outdoor seating. The cheese plate with truffle honey and berry jam is a great way to start your meal. The tagliatelle with mushrooms is excellent and the tagliatelle with wild boar sausage is lightly covered with truffles that don’t overpower the boar. The robe selection is nice and the staff is very attentive. Outdoor seating allows you to enjoy some locals exercising their dogs.
