Excellent. That’s the word that comes to mind when I think of how the food is. I ordered the street tacos which you get 4 of if you have it with corn tortillas and 3 if you order flour tortillas. The flavor was great and the green salsa was just right with it. The nachos my wife ordered where also really really good. The only thing I did not like was the drink I ordered but that was more of me remembering I don’t prefer tequila lol. The atmosphere is nice, but if you are in the room to the right at the same time as a large group it can be a little tight. Overall though very good food and the service was great. Definitely will be back.

Went for a late lunch (1:30pm) with a friend. We were seated immediately and after ordering drinks, the server brought out tortilla chips and salsa. After we ordered the meals, the food came very quickly. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The server was very nice and punctual, not pushy. The portions were large and satisfying. Great place, great job El Mezcal!

This place is amazing. The California fries made well done with steak is so delicious be sure to ask for their hot sauce. The taco salad is also fantastic. The queso was hot and fresh. Best Mexican food in Central WI.

Amazing food in a beautiful atmosphere. The staff are all very polite and professional. The dishes are served very hot and very quickly. It was packed when we went… but it’s also a Saturday night.
The art and general decor is beautiful! Authentic food? Short of going to another country, food was spot on. Drinks are also amazing! Prices are all completely reasonable.

This is the new location. Open only 6 months. Lots of space between tables. Very clean. Had nachos fajita and El Zarape. Very filling. Margarita 2 for one on Tuesday. Service could be more attentive. Only one check back from wait staff after requesting glass refill. Should have first bites check to ensure customer satisfaction. Pricing moderate. Easy access off highway 10.
