Stopped in for lunch after a little hike before heading back home to the Bay Area. It was our first time eating here and after reading the reviews I was excited to try it. Food was good but the service was pretty lackluster.
The restaurant was pretty empty and small (but had extra outdoor seating) and the lady behind the counter didn’t seem like she cared to be working there, just quietly watched us as we walked in, no greeting, no smile, just stood at the window waiting without a peep. I looked around and asked if there was a menu and the lady just pointed and said other side, like we were supposed to know. Once looking at the menu, she just continued to silently stare, never asked if we had any questions or offered advice. We ordered our food, two burgers, (Heavenly Burger and Cheese Burger) garlic fries and an unsweetened tea.
The food was good and the portions are definitely large enough to share. You will not leave here hungry! The Burgers are HUGE! The biggest burger I’ve ever had in my life. I couldn’t even finish mine, but my husband was able to finish his. We also shared an order of garlic fries which we were delicious. The portion was perfect for sharing, we didn’t even finish them all. The unsweetened tea was also very tasty, which maybe had a hint of peach in it? Definitely recommend it.
Everything tastes great, but my only complaint about the food was they didn’t ask how we wanted our burgers cooked, and they were served well done and boarder lined over cooked.

Don’t know what was better here – the burgers and the garlic fries or the amazing ambiance in the middle of all the trees. I got the burger with bacon and my wife got the chicken burger and both were delicious and filling. The seating in the airy outdoors were absolutely refreshing and relaxing after a long day in the sunny beaches of Tahoe.

Perfect place for a delicious meal after a solid hike at emerald bayor if you just want to feel like you’re celebrating with that kind of good, relaxed feeling. Sit outside and breathe in that air, have a burger, I had the heavenly which lived up to its name, with the combo. Creamy pesto fries and fresh sweet tea. And while we’re at it, this tea was just as good as what I had in Arkansas and Kentucky. Highly recommend. I did do the quarter pound but it’s normally half pound.

Really good burger spot in South Lake Tahoe! Great choice of meat and vegetarian options, fast service, lots of space to seat. I totally loved my heavenly burger (soft, juicy, super filling) and my husband went with veggie Sticks & Twigs and also enjoyed it a lot. We set outdoor and indulged in food in shade of magnificent pine trees. What could be better? Prices were reasonable too so I definitely recommend to check out this place!

Very average (to below average) burgers. Good fries (ask for the dipping sauce), and not very pleasant service. The woman taking our order was annoyed by simple questions and short with her answers. The redeeming side is the nice large outdoor seating area in the trees.

Burger Lounge is so good!!!! There are a lot of options but by no means is it overwhelming. It makes you want one of everything. I had the heavenly bacon and avocado. It was delightful we had it to go this day but man the string fries are not what you think they are a nice size French fry golden to perfection! Although it’s a longer drive to get here the advertisement outside is 10000% true. Best Burger Spot in Tahoe!

Great outdoor patio for dining! Had the Hangover Helper burger and the Paradise Bird chicken sandwich. Both were fantastic! The fried egg on the burger was perfectly cooked, and this was a big 1/2 lb burger. The sweet potato fries were good. Not a fan of shoestring style, but they were still tasty, and there were a ton of them. The breading on the onion rings were perfect! The side salads were great. The blue cheese dressing was watery, but it tasted great, so no complaints. Overall this is a wonderful local burger place I’d go back to any time!

Burgers were good but not served hot. Sweet potato fries were warm at best. Burgers not cooked to order (ex: rare, medium or well done). Nice backyard picnic table space for outdoor eating.

Food is soooo goood! First time to try here. So big serving for me, I could hardly finish my Tuna sandwich. And I can’t stop picking the chicken wings, so delicious. I would come back here if ever we visit during the winter. Highly recommended!

Great hamburger gem in South Lake Tahoe! It was my first visit: very friendly employee gave me a quick review of the menu and made a few recommendations. I’ve got Smothered Burger which was perfect. Fries were decent but nothing extraordinary. Also I’ve got a Mona Lisa sandwich to go and it was delicious.
The Burger Lounge has a very cute patio and a lot of extra outside sitting at a lovely pine grove. Worth mentioning that employees were friendly towards my dog and offered him some fresh water. Overall great casual dinning place, definitely will be back.
