In 2014, we brought a taste of Louisiana to Katy, TX, launching Seafood on the Geaux, serving fresh seafood and Cajun favorites. When crawfish season hit, business soared! Inspired to share even more authentic Louisiana flair, we created TaD’s Louisiana Cooking. Ate here Jan. 3rd 2026 pretty empty around 7pm. Chili’s themed with Waffle House vibes but steamboat bill’s-ish food. 5 minutes to be seated because ppl just walked in and sat themselves or met their party so they got menus 1st. Took 30 minutes for the server to show up; seen 2 tables get up and leave as their server never showed. My server had 2 other tables and it took 30 minutes for the food to come out which is a problem because there was less than 30ppl in there. Crawfish dip was standard cheese sauce with 4 crawfish tails, could’ve seasoned the chips with some Creole seasoning, the steak w/etouffee was salty, coulda been on a bed of rice, seafood platter was lacking. Add pistolettes! I would go again for brunch maybe. Experience and food was meh, go elsewhere. $100 wasn’t worth it at all.

1st time visit. Tried the catfish. The flavor was good but the strips were thin so some pieces were hard. Overall the food was good. Will be back to try other dishes. So stop in and try it out.

30 min wait on initial drink order from server. Only approx 30 seated at the time. Servers standing around talking. Had to make 2 food substitutions. Another 15 min wait to pay my check. Didn’t even offer any reparations to make things right. Frozen seafood less than an hr from gulf. Won’t ever go back.

We got there right when they opened, and unfortunately it seemed like the staff wasn’t fully prepared for the morning guest. I ordered the avocado toast and ended up receiving my food last, after everyone else at the table had already finished eating. When it finally came out, the avocado was brown/black and there was barely any on the toast- not even a tablespoon. The toast itself was soggy, which made it even more disappointing.

Our waitress was very kind and explained they had a new cook, and everyone else in our group said their food was good. I’m hoping this was just an off morning because the service attitude was great- just needs better execution in the kitchen.

We also found a live crawfish in the women’s bathroom….

Everything about this place was horrible and needs attention and better leadership. The food came out all at different times within a 30 minute span, when the food did come out it was wrong, and when we asked for the missing food items they brought them out rotten. our server was poorly trained as he did not check on us often and did not take our plates or clean anything off the table, they were having work done during business hours so there was loud drilling in the dining room, when we asked for the manager, it took awhile for her to come out and when she did she was not very helpful and did not give us a refund for our late and rotten food. After we paid and handled all of that and were getting up to leave, our server came back out and explained he forgot to charge us for one of our meals and asked that we paid again which we did but that was very unprofessional. We are NOT coming back again.

Rachael was an amazing waitress and made our whole visit to Tad’s Cajun Cooking even better. She greeted us with genuine warmth, checked on us at the perfect times, and kept our drinks full without us ever having to ask. Her recommendations were spot‑on, and she remembered every detail of our order.

The food was great, but Rachael’s service is what truly stood out. She’s friendly, attentive, and makes you feel taken care of from start to finish. If you’re heading to Tad’s, definitely ask for her — she’ll make your meal even more enjoyable.

Had the best time to say it was our second time there and plan to return food was good service was great. Place was nice can’t say same about customers on side of us thou bc they finished placed the money for waitress on table and a black man went to get sugar packets my hubby and I watching him get it the white man came back to look at the table to make sure he didn’t steal the money like if he has drinks and he has food why would he need to steal. Other than that incident everything was great.

Our group came in late on a Thursday, about 45 minutes before closing because one person was coming from out of town and hit a lot of traffic. The chairs in one section had already been put up on the tables to get ready for last cleanup and we weren’t even sure they were open but the waitress told us to come on in. She gave recommendations, told us what was seasonal but there were some problems in the kitchen that required picking some new side dishes. No biggie. Stuff happens.

The food came out nice and hot, fast and it looked every bit as nice as some of the pictures we’d seen. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, with a great smile (I miss those). I had the crawfish half-n-half and it was delicious. Of course, when I’m able and the service is that good, I try to make sure the tip is worth it. I made sure she got a nearly 50% tip. I hope to come back soon.

We were craving Cajun food on a cross country and found this place on a Google search. Absolutely worth it!!! The food was delicious, and the service was incredible. The servers were so personable, kind, warm, and welcoming. It added to the experience. Highly recommend, whether you’re local or just driving through!

First off I didn’t know it was that dingy looking whe they have customers . The place was not worth drawing attention to . As of tonight I will never go in sit in there and eat . I went in at 8pm for 12 crawfish potatoes to go and I literally just left at 9:08 because no potatoes ever came. It’s too hectic too many steady coming and asking me my name and my order. I think you guys need to learn how to have better customer service . Wasn’t even offered a water. They don’t have it together I was sitting next to a couple for ten minutes and heard that lady repeat her name at least three time to three different people. They really need to get training or something because apparently the ppl in the kitchen don’t have it together with communi. I saw a tall skinny guy with dreads I can tell he was some type of supervisor literally never came to me and see what I was waiting on . The only reason I walked out without my potatoes is because I seen my parents and didn’t want to embarrass them. But get it together fr.
