I woke up wanting pancakes and this was a good choice! When you think of pancakes, you think of I Hop. Well thumbs up has changed all that. The pancakes were big and fluffy. Great taste. The waffle was as described. Crispy on the outside soft in th inside. Grits creamy and served with whatever you want in them. The French toast! A plus! If you get 2 you will be taking one of them home because it was filling. But good food, good service and good atmosphere. Shout out to Matt he was great.

Omg!! The location in Douglasville is HORRIBLE!!! First my grits were ice cold and lumpy. They brought me out another order of grits and they were cold as well. Second they added cheese to my daughter’s order and she specifically said no cheese and the waiter literally said “they put cheese in your grits” and gave her the plate anyway as if she didn’t have an option so they remade her eggs and this time they were runny and disgusting! Thirdly I’m chewing and it’s crunchy so I spit it out and it was egg shells in my eggs! Our waiter was nice but he was slaking. Lastly, the heater didn’t work and it was freezing inside the restaurant. My coffee got ice cold within 10 minutes of receiving it that’s how cold it was in the place and my waiter never asked if I wanted a refill. Just ughh!

Don’t let the location fool you. The exterior might not look good, but we’re here for the food, anyway.
The shrimp and grits were amazing. It was one of the best I’ve had. The French Toast was great, too. Their sassy scrambled was very good. My husband got the Country Heap Skillet and he enjoyed it a lot. Our server was very nice and attentive, too. First time visiting and hopefully not our last.

I was pleasantly surprised by the menu options, service, atmosphere and customs combinations. Shrimp And grits were great, All of the other dishes I saw being served looked one point. Is a nice spot not too far out of the way, and not so busy that you cannot get a seat.

I don’t know. This place just wasn’t for me. Too “healthy” I guess. It’s like if a real chef took over your corner, greasy-spoon, diner.
I can’t say anything I had was “bad”. It just isn’t for me. The pancake I had was odd. The biscuit is made out of buckwheat or something. The potatoes were cut up potatoes, not hash browns etc.
I’m sure if you’re into all that healthier stuff this place would be GREAT. It’s just not for me.
The location is weird. It’s in a strip mall. Google had a little trouble getting me to it. The sign isn’t very big.
The place has lots of seating. Even outside with a little patio out front. Dining counter seating was also available. The place is clean and the service was fast and friendly.
Honestly, I liked everything about this place except the food just isn’t for me. It MAY be for you, so come check it out and make up your own mind based on your tastes.

Thumbs Up seems to be a local spot. Upon walking into the Douglasville location, the server who was taking another table’s order and yells across the restaurant “Just two, ok” leaves the table where she is in the middle of taking the order and seats us. I found that bizarre and rude to the table that was there.
I noticed that there was hair on her chicken wings. When I pointed it out to the server, she said, “That’s chicken hair! “ my friend said “Do you mean feathers?” She looked us in the face and said, “No, it’s chicken hair! You know how eggs sometimes has hair?” I was DONE!!!!

Use to go every weekend but after the customer service over the phone today I’ll just be honest. Food is inconsistent and only good 25% of the time. Catfish is chewy and the service is as consistent as the food. Take your business elsewhere ✌️
