Ok I loved everything, my cappuccino came hot and very fast. The please is super clean and tidy, but do look out for monkeys if you sit in the balcony. I had prawn pasta and it was absolutely amazing, compliments to the chef. My waitress, Ziyanda was pleasant and polite, she welcomed me properly and attended to my every need promptly.

We had a reservation for 18:30, we were only seated at 19:00. Food arrived over an hour later. It was a full house, but that would of been expected and accounted for since it was Valentines day.
The front bar area was so untidy. Used up crumpled serviette, plastic packets, empty used glasses… and no attempt to clean up….so unwelcoming.
Our Chicken nacho pizza had approx 1 tiny peice of chicken on each slice, we basically had a tomatoe and onion pizza with some avo.
The setting was so cringe! I get that it was Vday… but a brightly lit room with tinsel and Christmas tree decorations…. balloons and fake flower petals. We expected a classy, romantic atmosphere. Candles, dim lights, a single stem rose on each table would of been perfect. The restaurant looked like it was accomodating teens!
The tables around us were also not happy. 2 couples had to ask for their table to be cleaned as it hadn’t been since the couple’s before them left. Dirty plates and glasses were still there. Another couple had to ask for cutlery long after their food arrived because there was no one upstairs to assist.
Also, our cutlery was left ontop of our ONE serviette, so when we used our serviette there was no side plate to place our cutlery on.
Our visit to your establishment was a huge disappointment. I won’t visit there nor would I recommend you ever!
I will however visit the other branch to compare because based on the hosts facial expressions and managers lack of accountability I believe this is a Florida Rd problem not the brand!

We had booked a reservation for 7 pm. When we realized that we may be late we called the restaurant to ask them to hold our table, which they agreed to do. Upon arrival the hostess did not communicate that our table had been given away and instead stated that she will help us shortly but she constantly walked past us and even seated people who came in after us. After half an hour we were seated by another waiter and never served or even given menus. We understand if the table had to be given away but just communicate that so we can go somewhere else. Absolutely disappointing, will not be returning anytime soon.

Our evening at Lupa on Florida Road was absolutely splendid. We were served by an amazing waiter by the name of Banga. He was an absolute gentleman and made our night extra special with his menu suggestions and excellent singing skills
The cocktails, pastas and seafood were scrumptious with the portions being extremely generous. A great atmosphere in this cozy restaurant. Thank you to Banga.

The atmosphere was chilled. The steak was not as grand as other branches I have tried. The cheese burger was excellent. Service was pleasant but could use with some improvements. The waiter dropped our coffees, which we waited quite a while for. The second time the coffees arrived, they were cold, even though we requested that they be very hot. The wait for food and drinks can be improved. I have had better experience and food at other Lupa branches.

I booked a table for 5 via Dineplan like I always do, but when my friends arrived, the staff couldn’t even find the booking. After my friends were seated, they said it took about 15 minutes before a waiter showed up. Since service was already slow, we ordered drinks and food together to save time.
The restaurant was practically empty and tables around us were settling their bill and yet our food took 50-55 minutes to arrive, which was 3 sets of pasta dishes and kingklip. The waiter was uninterested, had an unpleasant and dismissive demeanor, she barely paid attention to us.
My dish was the kingklip and even though I was famished, one bite of the fish was enough. It was slimy, smelled off, and clearly not fresh at all. When I complained, the manager (Themba I think) tried to convince me it was “because of the white wine.” Mind you, I’ve had the same dish at their Umhlanga branch and it definitely didn’t smell or taste like that.
My friends weren’t impressed either with their pasta, it was mushy, stuck together, and clearly overcooked. If it wasn’t for almost 2 hours wasted, we would have gladly gone to Doughed.
Overall just bad vibes and bad food. Would not recommend at all.
