We ordered the hummus and pita, which were excellent.
The hummus was incredibly creamy and smooth–one of two the most memorable I’ve had-and the pita was full of flavor and extremely soft. I ordered the Chapli Kabab Burger, which was just okay for me. It comes with two patties, making it a bit too heavy, and while it had some spice, it lacked depth of flavor and had more jam than I preferred.
The Brussels sprouts were heaven sent, and the hookah was very smooth. Service was good–nothing standout, but nothing negative either. A DJ came on later in the night, which added to the atmosphere and made it lively and allowing us to talk comfortably. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I’d definitely go back.
The cusine was both tasteful and deeply flavorful, with eqch dish throughtfully prepared and well- balanced. The ingredients tasted fresh, the presentation was refinded, and every bite reflected attention to detsil. Its clear the culinary team takes pride in crafting a memorable dinning experience .
The ambiance stikes the perfect balance between upscale and relaxed. Making it ideal for gathering with both friends and family. The vibe warm, vibrant and weclcoming-a place where conversation flows easily.
Another notable advantage is the convenience: ample parking makes the expereince effortless.
Gives a complete experience, scenic views, outstanding flavor, a reason to return. Highly recommended.
We also ordered the dip sampler from the dinner menu, which I wouldn’t recommend, as I’ve had much better baba ghanoush and tzatziki elsewhere. After finishing our first round of wine, the bartender returned and explained that he had mistakenly served us wine from the regular menu instead of the happy hour selection. He said he would adjust the price to happy hour rates and bring us two new glasses of happy hour wine. We appreciated his honesty and his attempt to correct the mistake.
However, after our second round of wine – now supposedly at happy hour pricing – and the $27 dip sampler, we were shocked to receive a bill with our wine at full price. Based on the menu advertising $8 happy hour wine, there was no reasonable explanation for four glasses of $8 wine and one $27 appetizer to cost $75.
We raised the concern with the bartenders but the only response we received was, “We can’t change it,” with no explanation or effort to resolve the discrepancy.
Unfortunately, the experience felt misleading and left us feeling taken advantage of rather than valued as customers. Clear pricing and accountability are essential, and this visit did not meet those expectations.
We had an amazing time at Ivy by the Lake! The Mixed Grill Platter was full of flavor — especially the Beef Kofta and Harissa Chicken. Aneela’s service was outstanding, super friendly and attentive. The music and lakefront ambience made it such a relaxing spot for the whole family. Can’t wait to come back!
The drinks were also impressive, offering a good variety with refreshing flavors that complemented the meal nicely.
One of the standout aspects was the ambience. The atmosphere was artsy and inviting, with a great vibe that made the whole experience more enjoyable.
Overall, it’s a place I’d definitely recommend if you’re looking for good food, great drinks, and a relaxing environment.
The chapli sandwich needs a standing O and a proper review. It’s a flavor that you will remember and in moments where you need something to cheer you up, please order one and thank me later. I have been to the restaurant and the service was great, along with the mezze and mantu, as well as drinks to my best memory but their Chapli burger deserves an award.
We went on a Sunday, and it was pretty slow. The staff mentioned that Fridays and Saturdays are better with a live DJ, so maybe the experience is different then. We might give it another try on a busier night, but overall, this visit was underwhelming.
