Our mission is to bring joy to others with the very best ice cream and smiling, happy service. We churn our ice cream in small batches, using special Italian equipment that minimizes the air whipped into the product, making it uniquely flavorful, thick and creamy. We scoop 36 flavors, and also offer milkshakes, sundaes, ice cream sandwiches, pies, and cakes. In-store seating, online ordering, and curbside service are currently available! Have been coming here since I was a kid. I don’t live in Richmond anymore and try to stop by whenever I’m in town. Amazing! The best handmade waffle cones you will ever have. Good location off Broad near many other restaraunts. Definitely recommend stopping in!

Super sweet treats & staff! I appreciated there was ample seating in the restaurant and the fact that they have a complimentary water station. Each flavor listing on the glass display notes ingredients (egg, milk, etc.). I loved the rainbow cookie and my boyfriend enjoyed the Oreo flavor. They also have pint and quart options for to go options.

It was a rainy dreary day, and my husband and I needed a real pick-me-up when the rain chased us indoors for the afternoon. It was time to try Gelati Celesti! There are seven locations in Richmond, and three in Hampton Roads, and we chose the West Broad Street location in Richmond. Founded in 1984, Gelati Celesti is proud of their small-batch, handmade ice cream, made with specialized Italian machines.
Such a thick, creamy ice cream deserves some great additions and flavors to make it sing, yes? Gelati Celesti is no stranger to unique flavor profiles, as you’ll see on their menu and in their inviting bins of fresh ice cream. Some flavors that stand out include:
☕️ Blanchard’s Dark as Dark, which pairs up Blanchard’s dark roasted espresso beans with vanilla ice cream
Salted Caramel, a frozen take on the creamy and sweet salted caramel craze

With so many exciting, new-to-us flavors to try, we were overjoyed when the team at Gelati Celesti offered us samples. The Mint Stracciatella spoke to me, a die-hard mint chocolate chip ice cream fan who’s always looking for that special touch when it comes to my go-to. I was not disappointed! What a beautiful creamy texture this ice cream had, and oh, how the chocolate chips were layered through and through, for that perfect crunchy element in my mint ice cream!
My husband, who doesn’t veer from his favorites too often, definitely found a new treasure at Gelati Celesti today. Instead of ordering his cookies and cream waffle cone, he ventured into uncharted territory with the decadent flavor, Just Ask, featuring a magical combination of peanut butter and Oreos in vanilla ice cream. Chocolate and peanut butter, creamy and delicious, nestled in a fresh baked waffle cone. My husband was delighted with this twist!

Yum! I thoroughly enjoyed my gelato from here. I’ve had gelato in Italy, and I would say this is pretty comparable. I had the chocolate peanut butter as well as the chocolate chocolate chip and both were delectable. They have multiple locations throughout the city so if you are around and are in need of a dessert fix, stop by here and you will not be disappointed.

I love this place! Because it was so hot out, I couldnt get ice cream off my mind..and I googled to see what was near me and this was the closest place. I hadnt tried them before but am so glad I have found them.
I had no idea they were tucked away in this little shopping center.
I chose a 3 scoop cup filled with a rainbow cookie, oreo and cream, and something with peanut butter cookie dough and caramel. All 3 flavors were delicious and hit the spot for me. I will go back for sure.
My only issue with them was there were no dairy free ice cream flavors.
The server was super nice and offered for me to sample and I did and it was what led to me having 3 scoops instead of 2 lol.
