ALLERGY AWARENESS
I informed the host that I had celiac (autoimmune disease where I cannot have ANY gluten). I ordered from their gluten free menu where I just wanted grilled chicken and nothing else. They assured me that they understood and went about putting in the rest of my family’s orders. They handed me the bag and when I arrived at home I saw that they did give me the grilled tenders with bread in the same box after strictly saying I could not have gluten. I understand these things can happen, but did not think that they would make a mistake like this one after assuring me that they would take care of it. I wanted to write this so that others are not left out of their food..

Excellent food!! Went in with a party of ten and everyone’s order looked amazing. Tried the Cajun shrimp po’boy with waffle fries and it’s been the best I’ve had. Staff were cheerful and pleasant. Will definitely stop by again when I’m in Mississippi!!

Ate here recently while visiting Oxford and was not disappointed. You order and then find a table and they bring it out to you. The service was very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was wonderful comfort food. Everything by we had was delicious. I would highly recommend the rotel fries. They are better than they have a right to be – wonderful flavor. I would eat here again.

Color me impressed. Service was top notch. Food was great. Gumbo soup and potato soup were both top notch. Obys chicken sandwich got high marks. The kickin chicken as a wrap as recommended was good. Definitely will eat there again presented the opportunity.

I was excited to try Oby’s as I had heard my husband brag about how great they are so when we were in the area I jumped at the chance to visit. The restaurant itself was really nice and modern. Very clean and the lady kept coming by to check on us even tho you order at counter so that was great. She was also very friendly. When it came to the food and especially the prices that is where I was extremely disappointed. I Got chicken tenders as I thought it was one of their specialties but surely I was mistaken about that. After I couldn’t eat the tenders my husband went to order me a cup of chicken and dumplings they were even worse! They actually tasted like the dumplings you buy in a can at the store. Sweet Sue or something like that but guess how much a silly cup of this mess was….$8!! Needless to say I left hungry. Also, my daughter ordered a Po’Boy sandwich and I added her an order of fries. Then when we were at our table waiting for the food I seen on the menu her sandwich was supposed to be served with a side, but we were never told nor did they give one. I can’t see myself ever going back to this place to pay a total of $79 for 3 people then have to go across the street to McDonald’s to actually get something to eat. Very Very Disappointed

Driving back from FL so we stopped in. The service was ok. Nothing outstanding. The rotel and chips was very good. I had the veggie wrap; it was underwhelming and came with a bag of chips. My husband had a po boy and throughly enjoyed it. His food 5, mine 1. They do play great music. The bathrooms are old but fairly clean. On site parking. The iced tea was the highlight of my experience.

We opted to dine in and noticed there was indoor as well as outdoor seating available. Orders are placed at the counter prior to seating. While in line the area is very congested with high traffic from staff delivering food to the table: Yes, waitstaff brings the food to your table. Sofie was the friendliest employee we encountered and she was quite a breath of fresh air with her upbeat, professional and courteous demeanor.
I ordered the Pouchatoula Strawberry salad with grilled shrimp added. Our second choice meal was the Swampland and Sea platter (pick 2). The two items selected were catfish fillets and grilled shrimp. The Ponchatoula salad was so delicious!! When I am in the Oxford area, I look forward to ordering this again. I also learned Ponchatoula is a city in Louisiana and is host to the popular Strawberry Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival every spring.

Food was great as always but the service sucked. We received or food and asked for silverware, a guy brought us our utensils and said our server will be right with us. The server for our area walked past our table several times with no acknowledgment, but went to other tables with customers. I said nothing at first until she waited another table. I had to end up asking her was she the server for the area in which she replied yes. We had to ask for to go boxes and a refill. I asked to speak with a manager and he brushed it off saying the server that is supposed to be in that area was on break and she was just filling in. Regardless of that you work in a public setting, customer service is a big deal. He shrugged it off and gave a backhanded apology. Yes, they were busy but there’s no excuse for the lackluster service.

Why is always hit or miss. Either the food not right and service good or the service sucks and the food is what u asked for. Well tonight it’s what I asked for except they put the bag of chips directly next to the sandwich instead of just in the bag. No telling who all touched that bad. And the to go person was just rude and unfriendly. Period. I did not say anything till I left and called the mgr. Who cared even less. As always they know not many options so they can get away with it.
