Big Tortas lives up to the name. The tortas are massive and packed with meat. I can barely finish one half. It’s a little pricey, but the amount of meat you get justifies the price. The bread is really good too, not like the typical torta bread I usually get from other places. I’m not sure if they make it but it tastes fresh and they toast it on both sides. I got the 39 torta. It has ham, pork chop, steak, and chorizo with cheese, veggies, and fresh avocado. There’s a lot of flavor in it. If you’re really hungry, go here and you will be satisfied. The atmosphere is nice and the service was great. Food was hot so they make everything fresh to order and it didn’t take too long even though they were busy. Highly recommend. This is a hidden gem.

Don’t skip on: The Sur 39

Amazing Torta shop for any hungry mouths! I absolutely love this place and they seriously have the best sandwiches. Don’t let the interior fool you – the food is here packed with flavor and every bite is delicious. We got the Sur 39 – a steak, ham, chorizo, bacon, pork chop, onions, peppers, and Oaxaca cheese. It’s a flavor bomb and highly recommended!
The staff here is very friendly and welcoming and the restaurant was clean.

Can’t wait to go back again!

Big Tortas Sur 39 is so good! The tortas are very authentic and very filling. I love the green sauce offered with any sandwich. Food and service are 5 star ratings and the only reason I’m giving Atmosphere a 3 star rating is because there isn’t anything special about the restaurant’s atmosphere, nothing negative or positive really. I don’t go there for the atmosphere though, I go for the food and the service and they are both exceptional. I work nearby so I’m somewhat of a regular. Highly recommended.

This place has fantastic giant sandwiches, as one should expect from the name. Everything we have had is amazing, with the exception of the fries, which are a little limp. Green sauce with chorizo con huevo is SOO good. Adobo SO good. The bread is toasted to perfection. Spice level of sauce is high for me, but my sinuses don’t mind because it’s so delicious. No pictures – we eat the food too fast! It’s all made to order, so prepare to wait a few minutes, but so worth it.

Amazing food, everytime I come here the food only gets better, the only major improvements I could possibly see, would be parking (Not a bad parking lot, just kind of odd) and how long it takes to get your food (Not incredibly long, just a bit more then I personally would like to wait). I usually get the 26 (Asada torta) without tomatos, and they have never messed up my order, and they have never skimped on the portions, always amazing, delicious sauces that go well with the samwhiches they come with, crispy bread, good meats, good cheeses, all around amazing. If I had to eat here everyday for the rest of my life, I would not be mad.

Ordered a torta and tacos a few weeks ago the food is good, the torta was a bit greasy but overall ok. When I got my torta I asked if I could please get 3 little cups of salsa and the girl at the counter said NO YOU CAN HAVE 2 no where does it state that your salsa limit is 2 or that if you ask for more than 2 you have to pay extra (I have no problem paying if that was the case) I find this very rude and annoying if you’re asking for 3 salsa that’s because you use 3 salsa! Also the flooring near the back right corner needs to be fixed! The laminate floor is falling apart and my teen that happened to walk on that part of the floor nearly fell due to the laminate moving around.

Their tacos Al pastor are amazing! They are stuffed and the meat is always well seasoned and flavorful! I love that they use yellow corn tortillas because they remind me of the tacos in Mexico!

I was looking for a taco shop that was more authentic and I heard about this place. Glad I stopped and gave it a try. The location is a little iffy and I probably would have missed it if I wasn’t using my maps. But if you can find Maverick it’s just acrossed the street to the southwest. Now that I found it, it will be easier next time. The lady at the register spoke very little English, This made me feel as though this place is the real deal! Based on their menu They are pretty popular for their Tortas. They offer a big variety of meats when it comes to them. The tacos they offer are authentic, Chuleta, Pollo, Asada, Suadero, Chorizo and Pastor. They are all the same price $3.99. At first I thought that was a bit pricey for a single taco. I ordered the asada, chorizo and pastor. When the tacos finally came to my table I realized REAL QUICK how big these tacos are! Each taco comes with two corn tortillas. You can easily make two tacos out of one order. They are VERY generous with their meat, They also top their tacos off with onion and cilantro and provide you with a red and green salsa & limes which taste amazing. That was when I realized what they are charging is well reasonable. You can order three tacos and easily make six out of them. My favorite was the chorizo, it had amazing flavor. The asada taco was just that, still really good. I was a little surprised with the pastor as usually this taco has great flavoring but found their meat to be a bit dry and the flavor was lacking just a bit. It was still good, and I would order it again. I definitely will be back, next time I will try a torta. There wasn’t anything special about the restaurant itself plenty of space for a lot of people They also offer outdoor seating when the weather gets better. I can only imagine how packed it gets on a summer night.
