Shiloh Gastro in Pittsburgh PA absolutely made our first wedding anniversary unforgettable. The food was incredible, every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and the flavors were spot on. The vibe of the place is cozy but still feels special, perfect for a celebration. What really made the night was the hospitality. The staff surprised us with free drinks in the house to celebrate our anniversary, which was such a sweet and thoughtful touch. It made us feel genuinely appreciated. Five stars all the way for the amazing service, delicious food, and for helping make such an important day even more memorable. Highly recommend!

Idk if it was just because we’d been walking in the sun and were hungry and tired but the drinks were so good and the food was so good! Pumpkin spice sangria!! The fancy French toast!

One word. OUTSTANDING! Fabulous waitress Peyton. Gene the owner took the time to come to our table, introduce himself and tell the story behind the drinks we ordered. The food made our taste buds jump for joy! A must try on Mt. Washington!

Our server was Dan. He was absolutely amazing. He was very attentive to our table & gave us the best service. Please, if you like amazing food & a great atmosphere, come & get some of their French toast. It was so delicious. Dan is one of the kindest servers I’ve had in so long. Thank you, Dan for making our experience there such a great time.

Such a GEM! We walked over from the incline. It is pretty cold and I wanted something warm and yummy. This place has it all. Total charm. Great service. Warm and toasty vibes. Plus great drink prices and the best Bahn Mi sandwich I’ve had in ages. Come and check it out.

I enjoyed a lovely evening meal here outside on the deck with a large group. We had excellent service, where they even turned the music down since we were right by the speaker. The pierogies were super hot and yummy. The tator tot appetizer was huge. I had the roasted half chicken, which was delicious and cooked to be perfectly done. One of our party did have a dairy allergy and they were not able to eat anything on the menu.

Shiloh Gastro is a hidden gem atop Mt. Washington, offering scratch-made contemporary comfort food in a laid-back, relaxed setting—making it a perfect stop whether you’re a local or just visiting the Mount. The ambiance is welcoming with both indoor and outdoor seating options, a full bar featuring bar stools and high tops, and even an upstairs area with additional dining space and a private room available for events.
The staff is incredibly sweet and attentive, enhancing the warm, inviting vibe of the restaurant. They also run several fun weekly specials: Happy Hour all day on Mondays and again Tuesday through Friday from 4–6 PM, with deals on drinks and appetizers. On “211 Tuesdays,” those who live or work on Mt. Washington receive 25% off their meals—a great local perk! And every Wednesday, enjoy half-off mac and cheese—a comfort food classic.
From their new spring cocktail menu, I tried two standout drinks:
Hibiscus Margarita: Sauza tequila, Cointreau, hibiscus, fresh lime juice, and a salted rim—bright, floral, and refreshing.
Light My Way (Ultraviolet Daiquiri): Maggie’s Farm rum, crème de violette, lavender simple syrup, and fresh lime juice—smooth, aromatic, and unique.
For starters, the shrimp and crab stuffed mushrooms were a hit—baby portobellos filled with a rich mix of crab, spinach, and cream cheese, topped with garlic butter shrimp and balsamic glaze. Flavor-packed and satisfying.
Next up was the strawberry caprese salad—a fresh spring mix tossed in balsamic vinaigrette, with red onions, diced strawberries, fresh mozzarella, basil pesto, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. It was the perfect light and seasonal dish.
For the main course, I tried one of their new menu items: stuffed shells filled with chicken, spinach, tomatoes, onions, cream cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Served with garlic bread, this dish was indulgent, fresh, and absolutely delicious.
I ended the meal with their cinnamon roll bread pudding, served warm with vanilla ice cream and caramel—comforting, decadent, and the ideal sweet finish.
I can’t wait to return and explore more of their spring/summer menu. Shiloh Gastro nails the balance of comfort and creativity—definitely worth the trip up the Mount!

Food and service were great. Acoustics made it hard to talk, but it IS a bar. We ordered mostly off the special MO day appetizer special listing.
